ADSL channel boding or Load balancing
Hi There,
We currently using iproute2 for load balancing. However we need more
upload speed as we load balance over 3 dsl lines.
I''ve been looking for a way to combine the upload speed to more
faster. Found a site called www.upstreaminter.net where these guys
bond the adsl channels to improve uploads, Since downloading is
problem as its need to know the ip address of the downloader they

routing ssh to secondary uplink
Hello,
I''m following this HOWTO
http://linux-ip.net/html/adv-multi-internet.html to route outgoing SSH
from a secondary ISP. I can see using tcpdump, jnettop, iftop that when
one of the computers located in my internal network is trying to SSH to
a box online using SSH, packets are routed via the secondary internet
ethernet card. However, packets don''t seem to know how to get back.

Tinc OSPF involving bridge
Hi Everyone,
I have a routing situation where Tinc looks like it could come in extremely useful, but I have a query I hope someone can cast an eye on, as I'm unsure whether Tinc can help me here.
I currently have a Quagga OSPF linux router which connects LAN A to LAN B over the quickest available of two routes (both routes at both ends connect to Quagga boxes to prevent collisions).

Redundant internet connections.
(I know that what I''m wanting to do can be done, but for some reason I
can not get it to work for the life of me. I think I have been staring
at it too long and too closely.)
I have two different internet connections from two cooperating ISPs. I
also have a small 8 block of IPs that are globally routable that both
ISPs will route to me via my world facing globally routable IPs that

6.5 vpn/gre/ospf breakage
Hi List,
FYI.
We have been using CentOS 6.4 and have 2 vpn/gre tunnels to separate cisco rtrs using ospf.
with kernel 2.6.32-358.23.2
We have upgraded to 6.5 bit using kernel 2.6.32-431.5.1 and the exact same configuration scripts for
our vpn/gre tunnels.
What I see is the first gre tunnel works great and I get an ospf neighbor.
The second tunnel comes up and I can ping across it and I see

Is Load Balanced VPN possible?
All,
With the dual-ISP support in the latest versions of Shorewall, is it
also possible to setup dual-VPN with something like OpenVPN? If so,
what are the high levels steps that would need to be completed?

CentOS + GNU Zebra
Hi folks,
At work, we're considering the idea to replace the presente router with
a stardard box with CentOS as a SO and GNU Zebra as a routing software.
The line is a 4Mbps SDSL.
?What do you think about Zebra and what are your experiencies with it?
Any feedback will be so appreciated.
TIA.

Clustering
Hello All,
Ive been doing more and more research on trying to setup a cluster/load
balancer for Asterisk. All the Asterisk boxes would be using a config that
is the same between them all (via a DB), but we want one location to point
the phones to, and from there that machine/device will send it to a Asterisk
server so the call can be processed. I know you cant balance the whole call,
ie: once the

IP_MAX_MEMBERSHIPS
Hello,
Can anyone tell me why the maximum number of members in a multicast
group is set at
20?
Are there issues with increasing this number?
Any information would be greatly appreciated.

equalize / ecmp not working as expected in 2.6 vs 2.4
Hi,
With kernel 2.4 I was able to use equalize to send our outgoing packets to
two different routers (our isp supports this setup), like this:
ip route add default src ip.a.dd.rr equalize nexthop via <router1> weight 1
nexthop via <router2> weight 1
The two routes were used equally on a per packet basis, not per flow or per
cached route, but per packet, each line has 800k upload

Multipath routing
Hello!
I have trouble with multipath routing. Those options are enabled in kernel:
[*] IP: policy routing
[*] IP: equal cost multipath
[*] IP: equal cost multipath with caching support (EXPERIMENTAL)

But issuing:

Multicast packages dropped
Hi,
I have recently updated one of my systems from CentOs 6.4 to CentOS 6.5.
This systems is used as a RIPv2 routing server with quagga which is the termination point of some GRE tunnels.
While running CentOS 6.4 I see the multicast packages arriving at the eth0 and the GRE tunnel interface.
While running under CentOs 6.5 I can see the multicast packages arriving at the eth0 but not on the GRE

multicast over GRE tunnel
I need to send multicast traffic through a GRE tunnel between two Linux
routers. The tunnel works for normal IP packets, but I can''t see how to
make it work for multicast. Here''s the setup:
