Belkin F6H650 on USB port
Hi, is there a way to use my Belkin F6H650 on the USB port? I already installed usbhid-support, but neither the hidups worked (reports "/dev/usb/hiddev0 is not a UPS") nor genericups with upstype=7 and the hiddev set as device ("ioctl TIOCMSET: Invalid argument") worked. I have installed the debian sarge package of nut 2.0.1 (2.0.1-4) Regards, Philipp

HTB & Bdw Guarantee
Hello, I have problems setting up HTB. This is my setup : NET 1024/256 ADSL || eth1 Linux Firewall eth0 || LAN 10.a.a.a I want to GUARANTEE for an IP (10.x.y.z) a 800kbit bandwidth for HTTP download. But When 10.x.y.z does no HTTP download, other trafic must get the whole bandwidth, of course. The script I use (see below) is quite the same as presented at (the greeeeat page) :

Bandwidth shaping and ISP''s network peerings
Hello all! I have a small LAN at home and when someone starts to download (only one), interractive traffic (www, chat and online games) is impossible with standard kernel queues setup... So I started to shape. My ISP gives me a 512 kbits link to the Internet and a 100 Mbits link to some of the other big ISPs in my country. If I set the rate of the parent htb qdisc at 512 kbits, I will never use

Full_Name: Ben Phalan Version: 2.2.1 OS: Win XP Submission from: (NULL) (131.111.111.231) I have noticed that floor returns the wrong number when there are more than 15 decimal places: > floor(6.999999999999999) [1] 6 > floor(6.9999999999999999) [1] 7 There is a similar problem with ceiling, so this may apply to all/most rounding functions? > ceiling (2.000000000000001) [1] 3 >

Ceiling function gives me wrong answer
Hi all, I have a very simple code, but gives a wrong answer. a=1000 b=1000^(1/3) c=ceiling(a/b) then c=101, if change the code to be a=1000 b=10 c=ceiling(a/b) then c=100 is fine. Thank you for the help. [[alternative HTML version deleted]]

Filter/Ceiling for unwanted data - zoo
Here's my script: http://pastebin.com/zx3TCtXg I want to draw attention to the code block where the read in of the raw data is located. Is there a function that filters out unwanted data with respect to a ceiling limit. For example, I want to remove any value over 500 kW in the rawCool variable. Any ideas where to go with that? I figure it would be an argument within read.zoo or an external

Guaranteed rate per class and maximum ceiling per element in class???
Hi all, It is my understanding that with HTB, the rate and the ceiling are divided over the elements of the class. E.g. using a rate of 100 kb and a ceiling of 2000 kb for a class with 10 elements on a 100Mb NIC, the effect of the ceiling will be that if all elements are generating their maximimum possible trafic they will be effectively limited to ~ ceiling / number of elements, in this case

QoS by customer or by service ?
I have a policy doubt. Suppose next scenario: I''ve a Internet link (1 Mb upload, and 1 Mb download). That link is maneged with a Linux QoS box (HTB/eSFQ and so on). Suppose that I''ve 50 customers sharing Internet Link, and I must to assign 3 ranges of bandwidth for them. Gold customers: 128 kbits Silver customers: 64 kbits brass customers: 32 kbits Next, I create classes

access users homes share
hey list, we are currently migrating our users from novell to samba. now we have one problem: in novell we could give e.g. user1 access to users2 home share so he could modify, delete or add files on this share. in samba we defined a global homes share that is mapped on logon. so how can we give user1 the needed rights? here is the definition of the homes share in smb.conf: [homes]

Shaping incoming VoIP traffic fails
Hello, I''m trying to get lossless VoIP traffic over my 3000k/500k ADSL line. Shaping outgoing traffic is no problem: I set total ceil for outgiong device (ppp0) to 450kbit and put VoIP into highest prio class. Even during full upload the voice is clean on the other end. Now I tried to get the same result for incoming data. I attached HTB to eth1 where the incoming voip traffic is
