whoops, corrupted my filesystem
Hi all- I corrupted my filesystem by not doing a RTFM first... I got an automated email that the process monitoring the SMART data from my hard drive detected a bad sector. Not thinking (or RTFMing), I did a fsck on my partition- which is the main partition. Now it appears that I've ruined the superblock. I am running Fedora Core 6. I am booting off the Fedora Core 6 Rescue CD in

When does voicemail authentication take place?
I have a rather technical question here. I'm looking at the code in app/app_voicemail.c, I'm wondering when the vmauthenticate() function is called. Aside from being called by load_module() as follows: res |= ast_register_application(app4, vmauthenticate, synopsis_vmauthenticate, descrip_vmauthenticate); I can't see any other calls to it. Can someone explain to me at what point in

[LLVMdev] FP emulation (continued)
Hi, I still have some questions about FP emulation for my embedded target. To recap a bit: My target only has integer registers and no hardware support for FP. FP is supported only via emulation. Only f64 is supported. All FP operations should be implemented to use i32 registers. Based on the fruitful discussions on this list I was already able to implement mapping of the FP operations to

Digium through Octasic
We're looking at using 4 or 8 port T1 cards with echo cancellation and are evaluating brands to go with. We know that Sangoma has excellent solutions especially when it comes to echo. But we still have to hear about actual performance of a Digium card using the same Octasic DSP echo canceller. Would appreciate hearing something on this. --------------------------------- Sponsored Link

Retain call control: Avoid letting call get
Take a look at freepbx 2.2 beta. We have made both ringgroups and follow-me have a call confirmation option. When used, the ringgroup/follow-me extensions that are outside lines (like your cell phone) must confirm they want the call (press 1 to accept, 2 to decline). All the while the caller hears ringing (or MoH if chosen). If no answer, they are sent on to where ever else you want them to go

[LLVMdev] FP emulation (continued)
Hi Chris, Thank you very much for your answer! It helps me to move in the right direction. When you explain it, it sounds rather easy. But I still have some tricky issues. This is either because I'm not so familiar with LLVM or because it is a bit underestimated how much LLVM legalizer/expander relay on expandable types to be integers (see my explanations below). --- Chris Lattner <sabre

AW: I can not install Corel Draw !!
Hello Versions 10,11,12 and X3 aren't working yet. The only one who works (nearly clean) is Version 9. But you need some additional native dlls and wine until version 0.9.22. Version 0.9.23 - 25 have a strong regression. Roland ----- Urspr?ngliche Mail ---- Von: "news@swwwk.com" <news@swwwk.com> An: wine-users@winehq.org Gesendet: Dienstag, den 14. November 2006, 07:15:16

windows programms starting linux programms
Hi. I have got the following problem: I'd like to use the windows version of firefox in linux. When I download a file and tell firefox which application to use with it, the application opens fine. But the path of the file given to it by firefox is in windows style (C:\...). Is there a (easy) way to tell wine to covert the path to linux style? If yes, where can I read more about it?

[RFC 0/2] macvtap, second try
I did not get this ready for the merge window, but people asked what the status of this is so I'm posting it now to solicit feedback. The first patch just adds some hooks into macvlan.c and is less invasive than the previous version. That part should be fine and I'd like this to get merged into macvlan for 2.6.33 if people agree that the approach is right. The second patch adds the
