DataMatrix barcode generator/reader
Hello, I have an existing legacy app written in .NET that will be rewritten with Rails. One of the key components of the App is to generate and read datamatrix barcodes from a PDF. I''ve looked online and message posts but haven''t see anything worthwhile for reading / generting datamatrix barcodes. Any recommendations for this? Todd -- You received this message because you are

Barcode or EAN code?
One my of my CDs has a bar code, 4 011222 044068, which is titled "EAN CODE". Another one simply has a barcode, 07822-18646-2, without any title. Should I assume that the barcode of any CD is the EAN code? I'm asking this because I want to know how to title the comment of the Vorbis file -- "EAN code" or "Barcode". Thanks. -------------- next part

Why our application can't show the BarCode Font?
We use the debian 4.0 Linux with the wine 1.0. When we run our application on this platform, there is a problem: The Barcode can't be displayed correctly, but occurs some Garbled. The font we use is ?Carolinabar-B39-25F2?. But when we install the wine-0.9.25 instead of wine-1.0, the barcode can be displayed correctly. So could someone tell us the reason, and gives us some suggestions?

Hi, https://ctan.org/tex-archive/graphics/pstricks/contrib/pst-barcode/ says that pst-barcode is included in texlive. I installed texlive, and it can?t find pst-barcode.sty. Is that a bug in the packaging Centos does, or is texlive in Centos some derelict version?

OT: a USB barcode scanner?
Hi, folks, I'm about to go googling, but thought I'd ask here if anyone's using a barcode scanner with CentOS, and if so, a) what scanner are you using, and b) what, if any, software are you using to record what it scans? <mutter, mutter, the serial number of every bloody h/d that we're asking them to deGauss...mutter,mutter> mark

Converting SAS Code
For the initial data step, assuming a data frame named stress already exists, and using base R, you can start with something like this: barcodes.to.delete <- c('16187DD4015', '16187DD6002', {complete the comma-delimited vector of barcodes you don't want} ) yield <- subset(stress, !(barcode %in% barcodes.to.delete) ) yield <- subset(yield , !(field %in%

Automatically assign symbol for statistical significance to x given value of x
Dear r-help users, I am using Sweave and Latex to create tables with output from several statistical test. As an example: I have a grouping variable "group" with two levels ("x" and "y") which I compare on variables ("a" and "b"). I have created a table in which means, standard deviations, and the statistic and p.value resulting from a t.test is

regexpr and portability issue
Dear all-- I am still forging my first arms with R and I am fighting with regexpr() as well as portability between unix and windoz. I need to extract barcodes from filenames (which are located between a double and single underscore) as well as the directory where the filename is residing. Here is the solution I came to: aFileName <-

Converting SAS Code
Hello all, My statistical analysis training up until this point has been entirely done in SAS. The code I frequently used was: *Yield Champagin; data yield; set stress; if field='YV' then delete; if field='HB' then delete; if barcode='16187DD4015' then delete; if barcode='16187DD6002' then delete; if barcode='16187DD2007' then delete; if

[OT] Label Printer Recommendations
Greetings Folks, I am after any recommendations or experiences using Label printers to print barcodes with CentOS, we currently using Star TSP700's but they're not clear enough for the scanners we have. There seems to be plenty of choice but not much Linux support going on, 'Never had anyone ask for Linux drivers before..' seems to be the most common answer when trying to buy.

incorrect multiple outputs
HI, I'm having trouble with a piece of Rscript which keeps outputting incorrectly. it's something like this: the code reads in from a file which contains (reformated) input >file<-read.table(file="input_file.txt",sep="\t")[,c(1,3:5)] > >file.rows<- c(nrow(file)/288) # "input_file.txt" contains 288 reformatted lines for each original data file

NaN values returned by cmdscale
Hello all, I'm using R1.7.1 on Linux, generating sammon-optimized MDS plots from distance matrices. This is a calculation I run routinely, often on sample sets of up to 100 samples. This time, with three samples, the sammon function returned an error (shown below), which I tracked down to the cmdscale function it uses to find a starting configuration. In short, cmdscale is returning NaN

Grouping data
Hi, I am quite new to R (but like it very much!), so please apologize if this is a too simple question. I have a large data frame consisting of data from a survey. There is, for example, information about age and education (a numeric value from 1-9). Now I would like to extract the total amount of each type of education within different age groups (e.g. from 18 to 25, from 25 to 35 etc.).

Polycom configs?
I have a number of Polycom phones to setup with my * server. For my initial few phones I hand wrote configs. Does anyone here who uses Polycom phones have some form of management utility for automating their setup?
