Help with "No route matches "/MyTest/" with {:method=>:get}"
I just started working with Ruby. Anyways I can''t seem to figure out
how to have this message disappear. I was reading a tutorial and based
on it, when I type in http://localhost:3000/MyTest/ it should say
whatever I have written down on my my_test_controller.rb file.
I first ran: ruby script\generate controller MyTest
then I edited the my_test_controller.rb file
It currently says:

Hopefully this community will be able to help or let me know whether
this is a genuine rails bug. This is a lengthy post, but please bear

Problem connecting to MySQL
Hello, when I invoke an action of my rails web app I recieve this message:
No such file or directory - /tmp/mysql.sock
In my MySQL config file I have this line:
socket=/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock
Why Rails doesn''t pick up this value instead of his default value?
How could I change the configuration of Rails in order to change that value?

Libs directory
Hello,
I had an application on Rails 1.2 or 1.1 (don''t remember). Now I have
updated it to 2.1.
I had a migrations_helper.rb in the Libs directory which defined
foreign_key and drop_foreign_key methods. But now migrate task doesn''t
find them. Have I to include this directory somewhere with Rails 2.1?
Doesn''t it work as always?
Could I use another thing to declare

I Would Really Like to Try RoR but...
it''s been a nightmare trying to set it up. I keep getting a an
Application Error message when I try to navigate to a url which should

rails for dummies
Hellos all,
I''m new to this so I have one really stupid question. When I make my
website is the whole thing going to be encoded in
my_test_controller.rb if I do ''ruby script\generate controller MyTest''
as "ONLamp" says to do?

{worker} after :end-time worker freaks out
Hi all,
i was using bdrb a while ago and it wasn''t stable enough in version
0.2.1 for doing the job - it loss jobs or did execute only the first one
invoked and so on.
Now i gave the new version a try and i found a bug at playing around.
When i start a worker_method over the normal Unix scheduler bdrb will
start as much as possible the worker_method after the :end-time is reached.

the output of myTest.R:

rspec model testing - test on user defined validation- How do I test that the create failed.
I''m new to rspec and looking for way to test a validation I added to a model.
