How dynamic is tc or my own tc-script?
hello,
I would like implement an academic theory of TCP traffic control gateway
for wireless multihop environments. The main part is an dynamic pacing
witch suffers from the RTT and hops in the wireless domain. With
shell-scripts or how ever I can get my information for the actually
pacing-time for an TCP-stream - the time can be chance over established
TCP-session - so it''s be a

pfifo scheduler
Hello ppl,
I''m playing with the pfifo scheduler, its simple, and i cannot understand
what''s wrong. So, i have test machine, with one interface eth0, and i want
to send no more than 3 packets/sec out of that interface, so i do:
tc qdisc add dev eth0 root pfifo limit 3
And i get pfifo scheduler on eth0 with limit of 3, but it sends as many
packets per second as it wants, without

Determing the pfifo backlog
Greetings --
in the "Linux Advanced Routing & Traffic Control HOWTO"
chapter 14.1 on bfifo/pfifo it says that:
"you can use this qdisc to determine the backlog on your interface".
But it does not say exactly how.
Command [#tc -s qdisc ls] outputs the number of packets sent so far
but it does not output any info about the backlog.
My first question is whether a command

For leaf classes is best PFIFO or SFQ?
Hi to all,
i''m following this guide (http://www.opalsoft.net/qos/DS-28.htm), is very
detailed, but i''m a bit confused about queuing disciplinse of leaf classes.
In this guide the author uses PFIFO (see the scheme that i attached at
message) in this way:
# tc class add dev eth0 parent 1:21 handle 210: pfifo lmit 10
# tc class add dev eth0 parent 1:22 handle 220: pfifo lmit 10

Re: [Asterisk-Dev] Softphone for PocketPC or iPaq
I have tried sjphone - worked well, although I think my 3 year old IPAQ
had a bit of a hard time keeping up with the pace as there was quite a
delay in the speech. Probably says more about my ancient IPAQ than
SJPhone.

Rmpi on Linux (SuSE) with OpenMPI
Guys,
I'm having troubles with Rmpi on Linux. I got it to work on windows, but on
Linux (SuSE 64 bit), using OpenMPI, I can't seem to get it to work :(
When I do library(Rmpi) I get the warning:

Interestingly enough all the examples from the snow tutorial (
