usb 3
I am trying to plug a USB 2 device in a USB 3 slot. Nothing is being detected in "lsusb". Is there something special I need to do? I am running centos 5.5 x86_64. I thought 3.0 was backward compatible. Nothing special about my device its an RS232 to USB device. It works in 2.0 slot. Thanks, Jerry

Wine + winebottler + azloader.exe + rs232 to usb adapter
Hello guys. I am new in mac world and in wine apps. I have this singular situation: I have a macbook with wine and winebottler installed. I want to use this exe app: azloader.exe. Ok, wine is able to load it normally. But... the problem is, my macbook has not the RS-232 port. So I bought a RS-232 to USB adapter. I've installed the correct "drive" to use that. I've tried that in

Question maybe off topic
Is there something in CentOS/linux that would take a single input in my case RS232 port and deliver that to two connecting network ports? So two devices can get the single port data. Thanks, Jerry

megatec driver and usb-to-serial converters
Hi all, Currently, the "megatec" driver only supports UPSes which have a serial (RS232) interface. However, I'm under the impression that most of the models that speak the megatec protocol, and have an USB interface, just have a standard serial-to-USB converter inside. This being the case, there should be a "/dev/ttyUSBx" device which the megatec driver could use just as

R and RS232-Interface?
Hi there Does any one of you know something about R and an implemented RS232-Interface? Are there any packages? Or is it possible to write an extensions or something like that in C/C++ ? The problem is that i should handle the information from a measuring device via the RS232-Interface (probably you know LabVIEW, which provides this functionality). These informations should then directly be

Dynamix 650 VA USB UPS
Hi James, I'm referring to your post here: http://lists.alioth.debian.org/pipermail/nut-upsuser/2010-September/006201.html Have you got by chance any more info on the Dyamix 1000VA model?
