Info about IFB
Hi, I''m looking for info about IFB devices and how I can use it to incomming traffic shapping. Has IFB any web about it? Do any body known where I can find more info about it? I found this: http://linux-net.osdl.org/index.php/IFB But I can''t stand fine how to use it to allow many ifb''s devices or how to use it with "tc actions". Any help? Thanks --

Example on using fwmark with masks. Please help!!
Hi, could anyone provides any example about the use of ip route command to force the use of one route using masks in the mark? The configuration is: 1 LAN (zlan0) iface N WAN (wan0 ... wanN) ifaces with static IPs and load balanced. iptables 1.3.7 kernel 2.6.19.2 iproute 2.6.19 I''m yet setting marks into packets for QoS and its working, I now want to set some bits (OR)

[Bridge] Multilink + bridge + nat problem
Hi, I have a suspicious problem with multiple uplinks configuration. First of all my configuration: 1) kernel 2.6.20.3 2) iptables 1.3.7 3) last iproute (for masked marks) All wan interfaces are bridged (stp disabled) in only one interface (wan0), all lan interfaces are bridged (stp enabled) in only one interface (zlan0). The wan0 bridge is to allow UPnP works. To allow related

Bridge + leased line + tc
Hi, I can''t get traffic shaping working. This is my situation: -------- ------ Net1 ----- |router| -------------------- | TC | ----------- Net2 -------- leased line ------ eth1 eth0 We use the leased line for normal traffic but also for synchronisation between 2 servers. The leased line is 2mbit. The synchronisation

tc n00b
Hi everyone, I''m new to tc but I need to use it to set up shaping on a new NAT box. In short: Each user must have their upload limited to 128kbit and downlink limited to 256kbit. Global bandwidth to be limited to 100Mbit Interactive packets to have higher priority 200+ users, so need to match packets fast So far I have managed to get the download limits working. However I need to

strange tc filter behavior
Hi All I am fighting this for 3 days and could not find any reason it is not working the way I want to (or I the way think it should). Internet output interface = eth2 (htb qdisc) Internet input interface = imq0 (eth2 attached - htb qdisc) main class = imq0 1:1 sub1 = 1:ffff (default) sub2 = 1:10 (src ports 1433/tcp or 1434/tcp or 81/tcp or 82/tcp) sub3 = 1:11 (src and dst port 25/tcp )

iptables 1.3.7, kernel 2.6.19, ROUTE and Layer7 issues
Hi, I''m having problems with this configuration: iptables 1.3.7 (vanilla or repackaged for fc5) kernel 2.6.19 (vanilla) ROUTE 1.11 (last pom-ng) layer7-filter 2.6 (last in sf.net) connlimit (last pom-ng) When I try to use -j ROUTE in any chain in mangle table I have this error: [root@myhost ~]# iptables -v -t mangle -A POSTROUTING -p tcp --dport msnp -j ROUTE --gw

How many (htb) tc classes and qdiscs are too many?
We have a Linux box that is acting as the gateway to the internet for about 400 people, typically there are not more then 50 of them using the internet at any given time. We would like to provide different levels of access to different users. For example 128kbps to some users and 256kbps to others. We have considered creating a class and qdisc for each user (using htb) however we don''t

Help please with tc and iptables mark
Hello list members, Finaly I''m here after a week of trying to subscribe to this list... pfew... Anyway... I have a rather strange problem with tc. I am trying to police the ingress traffic into my network using the iptables MARK feature (in mangle table, PREROUTING) but it seems that tc filters ignore this marks and they don''t work at all for me. Let me explain a bit more in

DNAT and Load Balancing
Hi all! After that good thread "DGD patch not detecting dead gateway" I was able to set up a Load Balancing with ping based DGD (without Julian Anastasov patch). But now I''m facing a new problem and tried some options, with only partial solutions. I made a script based on http://www.mail-archive.com/lartc@mailman.ds9a.nl/msg16257.html (Thank you Manish Kathuria),

[LLVMdev] Ideas for representing vector gather/scatter and masks in LLVM IR
Here are some ideas that came out of brainstorming during and after the dev meeting. Disclaimer: they're just ideas :-). * Vector Gather/Scatter One way to do gather/scatter would be to extend vector types to support pointer element types, and extend load, store, and getelementptr to operate on vectors of pointers. A typical gather sequence would then look like this: %vi = load <2 x

HTB+SFQ

But, in the second example, does not work, becouse i put more code to clasify the traffic by protocol, http and ftp in this case. Somebody can tell me the errors? Thx, in advance.- NOTICE: IMQ device is to asociate with ETH1 my external iface. SCRIPT que funciona:

So I used = some classes (with htb) on imq0 device and applied some filters and it see= ms to work in most cases. However, there are some sites with which downloa= d is

Creating a contended section of bandwidth with HTB and IMQ
Hi All, I''m trying to create a contended section of bandwidth using IMQ. I have the imq0 device up and running, with traffic passing through it. Firstly, I need to throttle the entire device imq0 to 2mbit/s. I would then like to add throttle rules for individual IP addresses, allowing them to pass up to 512kbit/s each, as long as imq0 has not reached its 2mbit/s. The configuration
