Xen 4.0.1, tap vs tap2, blktap2 documentation, and gentoo-xen-kernel problem
Hi,
I''ve been testing Xen 4.0.1 with kernel 2.6.34.5 +
http://gentoo-xen-kernel.googlecode.com/files/xen-patches-2.6.34-4.tar.bz2,
and one of the things that I noticed immediately is there are two
problems with tapdisk and this combination.
First, the syntax "disk = [''tap:tapdisk:aio: ..." no longer works.
When tested with HVM domU, it boots, but there was no disk

docs URL
Hi. I've put up some docs related to my first encounter with the
vorbis source code at
http://surf.chimie.uqam.ca/~kruus/vorbis/encoder/index.html
It documents a newbie's first look and [serious] attempts to trace
through examples/example_encoder.c . Don't laugh too hard!
Even though the docs are quite un-doc-like,
I've stopped working on them indefinitely, since Monty

SYSLINUX Anatomy
Greetings,
As a Google Summer of Code student for the SYSLINUX project, I had the
chance to learn many interesting things from hpa regarding the
internals of SYSLINUX. So besides my main task of implementing ELF
modules loading & linking, I decided to put down in the wiki all the
information I found concerning SYSLINUX development.
In this regard, I have created a special category on the

I think that corresponds to this file: http://lxr.free-electrons.com/source/drivers/usb/core/devio.c?v=3.16 (but I don't see anything obvious there)
What does "lsusb -vvv -d 2a37:" return? Usually I'd say run that as root when the driver isn't running,

Hypervisor detection from within a Linux VM
Hello,
Requirement:
I have the need to support my apps(running on a Linux VM) on different

[LLVMdev] [PATCH] x86: disambiguate unqualified btr, bts
http://www.cs.fsu.edu/~baker/devices/lxr/http/source/linux/arch/x86/include/asm/bitops.h#L68
Here is one example that I found. Are the inline assembly arguments
ambiguous in size?

[LLVMdev] Chaining Atoms together
Hi Nick,
Thanks for your reply.
The usecase here is just trying to construct a valid ELF. The lld linker
needs to handle all sorts of code written in assembly as well as 'C'.
The usecase is just one example of it.
I have also seen similiar code in
http://lxr.free-electrons.com/source/arch/powerpc/kernel/head_32.S?a=powerpc
which has global and local labels.
You are right, that the

HOWTO add static entries to WINS
Hi all.
I want to add static entries to wins.I look over the book
<Samba-HOWTO-Collection> for the v3.2 of samba. That tell me "All you have
to do is add a line to wins.dat". I try this. But we should shutdown the
nmbd, and then start nmbd. I want to stop the service.
What can I do with samba4 or 3??
