zlib_save per namespace/mailbox?
Hi, the zlib_save question reminds me of a wish: I think it's not possible to set zlib_save parameter per namespace (or even mailbox). Per namespace would be something for the wish list to get rid of the cron job method to compress archival mailboxes. And maybe an option to add a "Z" flag to compressed maildir message files as recommended in the wiki regarding compress crob job.

LoadBalancing on many asimetric different dsl''s.
Hi, my company have just bought new network and I have question about one problem. As in topic we must use few completely different dsl''s and balance traffic between them. 2M/0,5M 4Mb/0,5M 8M/0,5M M=Mb/s I''ve never done such thing before so I have doubts how it will work. If the links are symmetric 2/2 4/4 8/8 there is no problem because with weights I can compensate the

bandwith limiting and prio classes
Hello, I''d like to build a 4 class prio system based on mark (until now no problem), but with a limited bandwidth. I have configured my eth* to be 10mbit full duplex, and I''d like to limit the bandwidth to 1mbit. I managed to do it with a policy filter matching all the traffic, but I can redirect it into only one class, so all my prio classes are useless. I also tried to limit

simply limit interface bandwith
Hi there, I am quite new to lartc and the usage of tc commands is still very difficult for me. All examples I have read (including the lartc.pdf) are way too complex for my "simple" problem. I just need to hard limit a given interface to a bandwith (egress and ingress) like: eth0 inbound 1000kbit eth0 outbound 1000kbit No priorities, just a bandwidth limitation per device.

TC with bandwith adaptative for Wireless network
Hello, I would want interested in implemeting QoS for a wireless network, where we have variated services like: VOIP, ssh, ftp, www, mail, ftp ...etc Like we Know, this kind of network have high variation in bandwith of link. we want to introduce a form of adapting the parameter of qdisc that depends of bandwith, with this variances. In sumarize, an adaptative design with the bandwith of each

Dynamic bandwith with HTB
Hi everybody. I have a dilema and I think you guys can help me out. I am trying to shape the bandwith for about 500 clients, and I want the bandwith to be alocated dynamicly. Lets say I have 4 MB bandwith. I give each ip (500 IP''s) a sustained rate of 4 KB/sec . I wonder if I can shape the bandwith so when for example only 100 clients are online, to give them a rate of 4MB/100. How can

Bandwith especification.
Hi, If I have a DSL router with 300kpbs upload bandwith: Linux(eth0) ---(100Mbps)---> DSL ---(300kbps)---> INTERNET Which is the recomended value I must set in my QoS setup for the maximum outbound bandwith of my ethernet interface ? The max of 300kbps or something less like 290kbps ? Especify less than the maximum available bandwith is advisable to ensure that the QoS algoritms goes

Bandwith problem
I recently suffer badly from low bandwith. At first I thought it was my Linux box, but after tracing the problem it turns out it was the ammount of double posts I get from Patrick Turley... :) Isn''t there a way to block mail.rocksteady.com? It seems the mail originates from 10.50.23.3, and is forwarded by this host (which would make sense). Greetz -- Jurrie

Traffic Shaping - Help setting up upload bandwith limit
Following my question: I want to limit all uploading coming from eth1, going to the internet, TCP port 333, to 5kbit. (The recipients in the internet receive the data on port 333) What do I have to add to the tcrules/tcstart files? The situation so far: The Linux PC is connected to the Internet with eth0. I have so far copied the contents of the wshaper.htb file (from The Wonder Shaper) to

bandwith calculation
I would like to know how to calculate the amount of bandwith I would need to host X number of calls. For example, if user A in San Francisco with an ATA 186 calls user B in New York with an ATA 186 and Asterisk is being hosted in a PC in Miami. How much bandwith do I need to have in Miami? Do I just need bandwith for the setup of the call (ie the SIP part) or are there any instances where the

Asterisk remote calls with low bandwith and high latency
Hello, I have 2 sites. One(Site 1) has an asterisk PBx and the Other(site 2) has 2 remote soft phones. The latency btw both sites is btw 500ms-700ms. I know this is a shot in the dark...but are there ways of improving the voice quality for the remote calls(btw site 1 and site 2), Other than increasing bandwidth? -- Best Regards, James Mutuku Ndeti Agile Systems Limited +254722490994
