Hi, I have to install this server with an Intel motherboard ASUS, model P5VDC-MX. It has a VIA hardware RAID controller model VT-8251. The two hard drives are SATA (don't know if II) and are Maxtor STM380211AS. Problem is that CentOS installation doesn't recognize any hard drives at all. The BIOS setup doesn't have an option to turn off SATA. Any ideas ? Thanks in advance. --

Hi, I had this hard time installing a server with RAID 1 by software. I always got an error from GRUB and no booting. So, i've installed CentOS 4.4 normally in only one disk. Hi, I think my problem is related to the way i make my RPMs (i'm newbie at this). Two things: 1) the generated RPMs are only 1,5 kb size. That's inpossible. 2) The rpmbuild -ba zbr.spec indeed installs the software in the building stage. That's odd, isn't it ?
