QoS with > 1 interface
hi, as far I know, iproute QoS works in interface, not in all interfaces. I want give one inner interface priority over other inner, like PRIO one IP over other. HOW? -- Andrius K. Gamest and QoS
Hi I share my bandwith (adsl 512/128) between 12 users. I set up simple qos script for incoming (IMQ) and outgoing traffic using htb in root, 4 classess and esfq qdisc at leafs. Interactive traffic goeas to class1 , http, mail etc. to class2, p2p, ftp to class3, and rest to class4. Classess divide link in proportion 20% (prio 1), 40% (prio 2), 20% (prio 3) ,20% (prio 4) This works

QoS for lan users ...
Hi I have Linux box (Debian) that acting as a bridge. Eth0 and Eth1 are bridged (br0). Br0 have public IP. Eth0 connects to the internet. Eth1 connect to servers in DMZ (with public IPs). Eth2 connects my Lan (192.168.1.0/24). My connections is 2Mbit/2Mbit. I''m doing SNAT for my Lan. QoS on eth0 works fine for DMZ, but is there a possibility to doing QoS on

Spatial Ananlysis: zero.policy=TRUE doesn't work for no neighbour regions??
Hello, I'm new to R and to Spatial Analysis and got a problem trying to create a Spatial Weights Matrix. *I us the following code to create the Neighbourslist:* >library(maptools) >library(spdep) >library(rgdal) >location_County<- readShapePoly("....") >proj4string(location_County)<- CRS("+proj=longlat ellps=WGS84") >location_nbq<-

QOS Script difficulty on bridge
I''m playing with the rather excellent QOS script from Alexander Clouter at http://digriz.org.uk/jdg-qos-script/ So far I am really impressed with it - a very impressive example of the power of linux QOS rules (has pretty much everything in it from the LARTC Howto!) However, the instructions hint that "for QoS to affect locally generated traffic in a non ethernet bridge setup

jdg-qos & DSL
hi all! i have a dsl connection with 1280 kbps for downstream and 256 kbps for upstream, and i want to manage the bandwidth to give high priority to voip traffic and low priority to p2p traffic. i found the script jdg-qos. i readed on this forum (i have a dsl-g604t router with MCMCC firmware) http://www.dslreports.com/forum/remark,16250220 that the two parameters of the jdg-qos script (DWIFLIMIT

QoS on receive
It appears that while Linux has plenty of traffic shaping mechanism on transmit, there is nothing on receive side. While generally it does make sense since transmit is more CPU intensive operation, after all receive also consumes CPU cycles. It is clear that it''s best to drop the packet as soon as possible, i.e. on receive, if possible - by the driver itself. It may not be feasible in

MPLS QoS
Hi, i''m testing QoS MPLS on IP network. I''m confusing about what are features that permit Multi Protocol Label Switching to support QoS on a network. Can you clarify me it? In particular about the integration between MPLS and DiffServe Thanks in advance for the help _______________________________________________ LARTC mailing list / LARTC@mailman.ds9a.nl

QoS on a bridge+NAT
I have a setup where I have three NIC in a Debian box. I have eth1 conected to internet and eth0 NAT''ed to 192.168.1.1. eth1 and eth2 are bridged together, given ip 192.168.122.2. What I want to achieve is to perform traffic shaping on the bridge as well as prioritizing the traffic from eth0 very low. (This is from trental flat ...) However it seems that I am unable to perform thhe

QOS monitoring?
Hi, I have implemented QOS classifiers using TC with HTB. The classification is working. I would like to know whether there is some tool which will help me in monitoring the bandwidth share of the various classes. Thanks, Vinod C

QoS over Wireless network
Hy, I would want to give QoS a one wireless network. Do you know if exist any qdisc specific for this??. I know that the most modern qdisc is HFSC, is this true??. QOS Wishes
Hello all, It would be a great feature if QOS could be implemented in Tinc. It's not to do any sort of comparison, but with OpenVPN, the traffic can be shapped. In the way that tinc works as mesh VPN, the great feature would be to fix a shapping value on each nodes, known and respected by each others. (like MPLS does) As an exemple, you've got 3 nodes A,B and C, you want Tinc flows on A

Need help optimizing/vectorizing nested loops
Hi, I'm analyzing a large number of large simulation datasets, and I've isolated one of the bottlenecks. Any help in speeding it up would be appreciated. `dat` is a dataframe of samples from a regular grid. The first two columns are the spatial coordinates of the samples, the remaining 20 columns are the abundances of species in each cell. I need to calculate the species richness in

help for cell2nb and queencell in spdep package
Dear Dr. Bivand and R-users, I have a 5 by 5 grid, say, location[1:5,1:5], and I want to know the indices of 8 neighbours of each cell. For example, for location[2,2], its neighbour coordinates are [1,1:3], [2,1], [2,3] and [3,1:3]. Sometimes I also need to remove edge effects (torus = TRUE). I have tried "cell2nb" function in your spdep package. Here's my example: > neigh

QoS in wireless networks
Hello, I''m trying to configure several wireless routers with QoS support. The idea is to implement differentiated services so that VoIP traffic gets the maximal priority, then video, control traffic, interactive data traffic and best-effort traffic. I have seen that CBQ used to be chosen as qdisc for implementing bandwith share in DiffServ but now HTB is preferred because it is

QoS by customer or by service ?
I have a policy doubt. Suppose next scenario: I''ve a Internet link (1 Mb upload, and 1 Mb download). That link is maneged with a Linux QoS box (HTB/eSFQ and so on). Suppose that I''ve 50 customers sharing Internet Link, and I must to assign 3 ranges of bandwidth for them. Gold customers: 128 kbits Silver customers: 64 kbits brass customers: 32 kbits Next, I create classes

Ingress qdisc bypassed on SNAT''ed traffic?
Hello, I am using the following iptables POSTROUTING rule to NAT some RFC 1918 addresses: iptables -t nat -A POSTROUTING -s 192.168.19.23 ! 192.168.0.0/255.255.0.0 -p tcp --dport 80 -j SNAT --to-source 10.32.4.2 (I am using SNAT instead of MASQUERADE for performance reasons). I have several addresses on the 192.168.0.0/16 subnet that I am SNAT''ing similarly. Problem is, ''tc

QOS ip filter does no work with 2 queues below top level queue ...
Hello First thanks for the answers I have received from the list!! I have now a working qos configuration which bases of the lartc howto capitel 15.10. One Problem I have is that I have limited the upload stream to 100kps because my upstream is only 128kbps. Everything works fine EXCEPT Voip. I have a VoiP phone which is connected on the same net as the adsl modem BUT does not use upstream it
