Packet Interception
Hello! In the earlier mail I think I was not clear... Actually the following is my requirements: 1) our requirement is to capture all packets originating/destined to a particular machine. This also includes ping packets to same machine/localhost. i.e. at machine A we want to also capture packets originating from say machine A and destined to machine A (these propably do not go to data link

Screening packets within tc-classes
Hello list, I''m currently a bit planless so perhaps someone here could give me a point in the right direction. History: I wrote a shaper web tool (http://shaper.netshadow.at) and now got several feature requests if it would be possible to graph "what''s going on" (this mean per IP address, tcp/udp ports or protocols) in a specific chain. A chain represents a specific

Capturing Packets -- Ethereal
This may be off topic, but I think my ethereal question might be simple enough. I am presently compiling ethereal on a CentOS platform to check it out. But the packets I want to monitor are actually on a different CentOS platform, and I'd rather not install Ethereal on it, if for no other reason I don't have X-Windows installed on that platform. My question is, can I monitor/write

Re: libguestfs-tools failure that I can't figure out
I'm not sure of the history of the server's libpcap install.  Too many chefs and only one pot.  I know, that doesn't help.  Your question did prompt me to check versions and discover that there's a 1.9.0 version in the BaseOS repo.  I removed the previous package and loaded the new one. a quick ldd test ~]# ldd /usr/lib/systemd/systemd | grep libpcap     libpcap.so.1 =>

Unable to PXE boot
I'm replacing the master node in a cluster and having issues PXE booting the diskless nodes. The current master works fine, but the new node to replace the current node which has the same setup is having the issues. The hardware is: Dell r920 (new master node, UEFI) Dell r620's (diskless, BIOS) Dell 1950's (diskless, BIOS) When trying to boot, the 1950 node displays (though both

pickup.listchecker involving packet capturing/sending
With ease, due to the overwhelming amounts of documentation and help from these forums, I was able to get Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne (http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=application&iId=897) working very nicely. I use this game to play a popular custom multiplayer map DotA (Defense of the Ancients). Due to the default 250ms delay within Battle.net a popular application has

Troubleshooting TDMs (Packet capture like debugging)
Hi All, I am looking for a way to troubleshoot issues with TDM (E1) trunks with a provider. Currently with SIP trunks I am using tcpdump to perform packet captures between our gateways and the SIP providers IPs, capturing traffic on all ports, to include both the SIP messages and the RTP stream. How can I achieve a similar result on TDM links connected to TDM cards in Asterisk servers, where by

Slightly OT - Oreka Call Recording
Greetings all- I'd like to install Oreka on a Centos 5.x server for monitoring my Asterisk systems(using port mirroring) but I find I'm having problems with the version of libpcap installed. The latest is 0.9.4 but the orkaudio RPM (built for Centos 4.2) requires libpcap 0.8.3. I've tried making symlinks to overcome the issue but with no success. Without having to build Oreka from

syslinux.efi pxeboot across multiple subnets
Hum... Some packets seems duplicated when captured from the server, but not when captured from the mirror port. So let's assume that's ok. I can't find anything in the capture of the non-modified version that would look suspicious. Anyway, syslinux.efi is supposed to be downloaded by the UEFI firmware itself. It succeed but keep restarting for no apparent reason. Maybe an early

syslinux.efi pxeboot across multiple subnets
I'm using tftp-hpa. I had disabled the blocksize option (-r blocksize) for some reason that I can't remember now. Re-enabling it and setting to 1468 gives the same results. Considering I'm using http to transfer the kernels, initrd and images, I don't think the slowness will be an problem. Thanks for the suggestions though.
