tutorial for Julian Anastasov''s patches
I''m sure that I had found (and printed out ...) a really good tutorial
that explain how to use Julian Anastasov''s routing patch, but I can''t
seem to find it now.
Any pointers?

ip route add default mpath (rr| drr|random|wrandom)...
Anyone using it? I''ve tried but after about 5 min I always get kernel panic. My setup is based on nano.txt. I works well but only if CONFIG_IP_ROUTE_MULTIPATH_CACHED=n. I just wanted to play with the new mpath feature of ip. But enabling CONFIG_IP_ROUTE_MULTIPATH_CACHED always resuts in kernel panic. I''m not using any kernel patches from http://www.ssi.bg/~ja/ - are they needed

Using Julian Anastasov''s ''routes'' patches on 2.4 kernel in conjunction with IPSec
Hello,
I use Julian Anastasov ''routes'' (to be more specific: static_routes,
alt_routes and nf_reroute) patches on a 2.4.32 kernel. On the same host I run
IPSec. I have discovered after a few hours of networking problems that,
when IPSec is enabled on that patched kernel, inspecting packets with tcpdump
while arping-ing a host from a network physically connected to this

MULTIPATH: how to control chache expiration time?
I have a 2.6.12(ubuntu-patchset), kernel recompiled with this routing options:
[*] IP: advanced router
[*] IP: policy routing
[*] IP: equal cost multipath
Load balancing is working great, but i have problems whits long term tcp flows
(like msn-messenger or vpns or any other type of long term ip based
conection).
I assume this is because after a period of time, the per-host

Re: LARTC Digest, Vol 7, Issue 7
Hi Andreas!
I mainly understand what you mean, but best for me would be if you could make an example from the script I have. I know I did something wrong into it, but I still can''t see the error. If you could fix the error from my script that would be much appreciated.
Looking forward to hear from you,

CDR changes in 1.4.3?
Hello all:
I upgraded to 1.4.3 last night and use MySQL for CDR.
I have noticed that 1.4.3 seems to log a lot of "crap" to CDR that
1.4.2 did not. I use a few macros in my dialplan to handle outgoing
calls (lcr type stuff) and in addition to the proper CDR for the call
itself I also have records to 's' in the same dest-context and entries
to 's' in the default context.

Re: Tc rules Helpwith multiISP+ squid& squidguard...
I found that in my kernel config :
# CONFIG_NET_KEY is not set
CONFIG_INET=y
CONFIG_IP_MULTICAST=y
CONFIG_IP_ADVANCED_ROUTER=y
CONFIG_IP_MULTIPLE_TABLES=y
CONFIG_IP_ROUTE_FWMARK=y
CONFIG_IP_ROUTE_MULTIPATH=y
CONFIG_IP_ROUTE_VERBOSE=y
# CONFIG_IP_PNP is not set
# CONFIG_NET_IPIP is not set
# CONFIG_NET_IPGRE is not set
But no CONFIG_IP_ROUTE_MULTIPATH_CACHED.

[Fwd: Re: Zaptel PCI IRQ problem]
Hi,
Sorry to insist, but I would really like to be able to use Xen and my
zaptel hardware all together in Dom0. I was just wondering if the 3.1
release could contain some changes compared to 3.0.4 related to IRQ
handling or scheduling that could workout my problem.
Thanks,
François.

[Bridge] Bridge not bridging NFS fragments?
Hi,
please Cc: all replies, I'm not subscribed
I seem to have troubles with my Linux bridge (2.6.8-rc2), which is
apparently not bridging UDP fragments (NFS) when passing packets through
iptables, but I do not see in the iptables stats where the packets are
dropped. Policies for INPUT, FORWARD, OUTPUT are all "ACCEPT", and I
grepped for all REJECT and DROP rules in iptables -nvL,

Re: RE: Control Traffic
Hi Andreas!
I mainly understand what you mean, I tried to fix something on the script, I don''t know if I did it well.
Can you take another look on it please and if is wrong to make the corrections directly on it so that I see where the mistake is...
With this script I want to make limits for IP class 85.120.48.0/25 for international traffic in 256 KBps classes and for metropolitan

[Bridge] [PATCH/RFC] Let {ip, arp}tables "see" bridged VLAN tagged {I, AR}P packets
Hi all,
The patch below does four trivial changes and one big change
Trivial changes, these are all in br_netfilter.c:
- check ar_pln==4 when giving bridged ARP packets to arptables
- delete unnecessary if in br_nf_local_in
- add more logging for the "Argh" message
- add some brag-comments in the file head comment
Big change: let {ip,arp}tables see VLAN tagged {I,AR}P packets.

[PATCH][BRIDGE] br.c depends on CONFIG_BRIDGE_NETFILTER, not CONFIG_NETFILTER
Hi Dave,
The patch below lets the bridge compile when CONFIG_BRIDGE_NETFILTER
isn't enabled.
This patch is an update of M.J. Miroslaw's patch that arrived through
private mail.
cheers,
Bart

xen-3.0.4-rc1: undefined reference to `remove_siblinginfo''
Hello,
On my x86_64 box, when compiling the xen-3.0.4-rc1, if
CONFIG_HOTPLUG_CPU is not set it produces an undefined reference to
''remove_siblinginfo'' that is used in arch/x86_64/kernel/smpboot.c
drivers/built-in.o: In function `__cpu_up'':
(.text+0x54c10): undefined reference to `remove_siblinginfo''
If CONFIG_HOTPLUG_CPU is set the compilation works fine.

PS: A similar issue has been partially discussed in [Xen-devel] but solution is not given or not clear.

I am building Xen-3.2.0 (from source) with a ''working, known good'' xenified linux kernel from Fedora Core 8 (kernel-xen-2.6.21.7-3.fc8xen).
Here is the build failure I get when I run:

Redesign netlink attributes

This patch exports bridge multicast database via netlink
message type RTM_GETMDB. Similar to fdb, but currently bridge-specific.
We may need to support modify multicast database too
