similar to: Kernel Source code

Hi everyone, I've been looking for the package kernel-source-2.6.9-34 (from 4.3) and I can't find it anywhere. In fact, the only mention to it I have found is on the RedHat errata (I also have the RHEL CDs and it is not there either). Where can I get it from? I wanna compile some packages and I need the kernel source. Thanks Gabriel

Hello I have compiled php on a server, but want to upgrade and recompile it with new features. is rpmbuild or rpmrebuild capable of compiling or adding these new features ? or I should download the source and run ./configure again ? what about yum ? it was great if yum or rpmbuild could save the current config and just add the new extensions. Hello I have installed Centos 5.1 on 64 bit servers, and I see some of the packages have been installed two times, one for i386 and one for 64 bits. I don't know why i386 packages can be installed on 64 bit machine and why they should come together, even some times when I am searching yum repository , I see i386 and x64 packages. shouldn't the search result depend on server

I'm wanting to run Ruby on Rails and I want to do it the cleanest way possible. I don't mind using the rubygems package management for the Rails related dependencies. But Ruby itself, to my knowledge, cannot be installed as a gem. CentOS 4.3 uses Ruby 1.8.1. Rails requires 1.8.2 or 1.8.4. Neither Dag nor CentOSPlus have a later version for RHEL.
