fraud advice
Hi, Embarrassed as I am to write this, I am hoping for some advice. One of our very first PBX installs, now six years old, was "taken advantage of" over the past few weeks. A victim of sipvicious, I assume, that managed to guess one of the SIP passwords. 4000 calls to various middle eastern destinations have been placed, which ended up being sent over our customer's PSTN

CallerID not passed to Sprint & Verizon Cellphones via XO PRI
Hi, I have an odd problem where when a call is made to any landline phone the callerid number shows up on the caller id device with no problems. However when I call a cell phone from Sprint or Verizon it always shows up as unavaliable. I've tried multiple cell phones from each carrier. Though today I called a t-mobile phone and the callerid came through fine. Is this an * level problem

network config
Slightly OT? A client has two offices in the Virgin Islands that MUST maintain data connectivity, and there are no available "leased line" options to run a P2P link between them. To date, broadband Internet connections at both offices have been used as the link, with a VPN tunnel, and phones in one location use the tunnel (Sonicwall) to talk with asterisk at the other location.

Country numbering plan resources
Is there any good free / accurate online resources with detailed country numbering plans? Failing that let's get something running ourselves. I was also thinking maybe people present could contribute some information on this list for now. The countries I am after are below. To start this off I will provide the information for Australia +61 and New Zealand +64. NZ Cellular: area code 21

Who are XO and L3?
Almost all DID providers refer to XO and L3. Are they the only sources for DIDs in USA and everybody has to go to them? Could someone explain how exactly it works? Spurious hangups on Sangoma A102d, Trixbox 2.6.1
[also posted on Trixbox trunk forum] I am also working with Sangoma directly to debug this, but so far no real luck. TrixBox 2.6.1, A102d card with V33 firmware (latest) and WANPIPE 3.2.6 (3.2.7 is out, but nothing has changed that would affect this problem). The system gets about 200 calls inbound on the trunk, which is not very heavily used, and of those calls one or two a day is randomly

What are the various models of DID providers
Hi, Inspired by a recent rant about one particular provider, I am getting very curious about something I've never mastered. I'd like someone to explain this here or at least post a link or two that can educate me and probably countless others who have no knowledge in this area. I'm sure there are several of you reading this that know all about the subject. What are the various

Flat Rate Long Distance Providers
We are looking for a flatrate long distance provider to integrte with a hosted Asterisk implementation. I would like to have a SIP/IAX handoff to whatever carrier. We want the ability to turn LD to any of our subscribers for a flat rate as well. This request is for USA only. Int'l would be a per minute basis. Any sugggestions are greatly appreciated. Thanks, Ty Carter

Canadian Association of VoIP Providers
My apologies for the cross-posting. If you are a business or individual providing Voice over IP services in Canada then we encourage you to read this email carefully otherwise please disregard. ----- As you are most likely aware, the CRTC has undertaken the roll of regulating VoIP services in Canada and is currently conducting hearings with the goal of putting in place regulatory requirements

Suggestions for reliable DID provider forCanada, USA and Europe
I've had some serious issues with Teliax as of late with their "new" Denver server. DTMF issues, IAX2 connection issues, and major latency issues. They are blaming it on "1.2 vs 1.4 asterisk compatibility issues". I have had zero problems with their old servers. Voicepulse has been WAY better, but no flat charges, no 729. Frankly, even my broadvoice (yikes!)

[PATCH INCOMPLETE] launch: libvirt: Use C macros to simplify XML generation.
This commit implements some hairy C macros to simplify XML generation. Given the target XML: <cpu mode="host-passthrough"> <model fallback="allow"/> </cpu> The old code would have looked like this: XMLERROR (-1, xmlTextWriterStartElement (xo, BAD_CAST "cpu")); XMLERROR (-1, xmlTextWriterWriteAttribute (xo, BAD_CAST

[PATCH v2 3/4] inspector: Use libxml writer macros.
Change virt-inspector so it uses the common set of macros. I also added: - single_element(): creates <foo>bar</foo> which is used extensively by virt-inspector - base64(): used by virt-inspector for the icon --- common/utils/libxml2-writer-macros.h | 26 ++ inspector/inspector.c | 524 ++++++++++++--------------- 2 files changed, 258 insertions(+), 292

I have a NY 212 packet8 service if you would like to work with me to set this up on my A@H service, I'm happy to test this with you. Comparing nonlinear, non-nested models
Dear R users, Could somebody please help me to find a way of comparing nonlinear, non-nested models in R, where the number of parameters is not necessarily different? Here is a sample (growth rates, y, as a function of internal substrate concentration, x): x <- c(0.52, 1.21, 1.45, 1.64, 1.89, 2.14, 2.47, 3.20, 4.47, 5.31, 6.48) y <- c(0.00, 0.35, 0.41, 0.49, 0.58, 0.61, 0.71, 0.83, 0.98,

nls arguments
Hi all, I've got a problem with the nls function. I have an adjustment which works when I fix one of the argument of my function (Xo=150) : *Xo*=150 f<- function (tt*,Xo*,a,b) ifelse(tt<*Xo*,a*exp(-b**Xo*),a*exp(-b*tt)) ajust<-nls(RER~f(tt,*Xo*,a,b),data=data.frame(tt=Ph2[,2*k],RER=Ph2[,2*k+1]),start=list(a=0.5,b=0.014)) But, when I use it as a "normal" parameter (and

RBS T1 DID issue
Howdy, New installation, trying to connect an RBS T1 with AMI/D4 framing and E&M Wink. Using a Sangoma A102d and asterisk 1.4.22-2 on Centos5 (Trixbox 2.6.2.1). Outbound calls work fine, but inbound calls fail to read the DID information, and with debug set to 10 I get the following: [Feb 2 19:40:23] DEBUG[25184] chan_zap.c: Monitor doohicky got event Wink/Flash on channel 3 [Feb 2

[PATCH v3 2/4] common/utils: Move libxml2 writer macros to a common header file.
In some places when generating XML output in C code we use some clever macros: start_element ("memory") { attribute ("unit", "MiB"); string_format ("%d", g->memsize); } end_element (); This commit which is mostly refactoring moves the repeated definitions of these macros into a common header file. I also took this opportunity to change /
