BTRFS RAID
Greetings, I have a few questions pertaining to BTRFS RAID. I know it''s been rumored a lot recently that kernel 3.4 will have RAID5/6 support, is this still the case. Also, is it possible to change from a single drive system to a raid system or even a multi drive system without raid to a raid system while there is data on the drives an successfully convert them without loosing data?

SSD format/mount parameters questions
For using SSDs: Are there any format/mount parameters that should be set for using btrfs on SSDs (other than the "ssd" mount option)? General questions: How long is the ''delay'' for the delayed alloc? Are file allocations aligned to 4kiB boundaries, or larger? What byte value is used to pad unused space? (Aside: For some, the erased state reads all 0x00, and for

[RFC] btrfs, udev and btrfs
Hi all, below a configuration for udev/initramfs which I propose to scan the block devices looking for a multi-volume btrfs filesystem. Btrfs has the capability to span a file-system on multiple device. In order to do that, the involved devices have to be "registered" in the kernel. In order to do that there are two options: # btrfs device scan <device> (or the old

Kickstart Questions
Hi, We dont run DHCP in our environment where I build our servers, is it required to get a first IP address to hit my kickstart server running on my xandros debian laptop? Just been a couple years since I last did some kickstart builds and I dont have system-config-kickstart running on a machine here in my home lab. I can turn on DHCP on my linux laptop perhaps, but just wanted to check in

Object item extraction
Hello I am able to extract partial regression coefficients from a fitted model object "model", i.e. model <- lm(var.sel.gkm, weights = count.gkm, data = DATA) summary(model) write.table(model$coef, file = "C:/coef_CO_gkm.txt", row.names = TRUE, col.names = TRUE) I was wondering if anyone could advise me how to extract other object items such as std. error, t-values

I'm sorry, but grep -i crypt /var/log/anaconda/anaconda.program.log returns nothing. But I have got an entry in /etc/crypttab. [PATCH 0/7] Support Windows BitLocker (RHBZ#1808977).
These commits, along with the associated changes to common: https://www.redhat.com/archives/libguestfs/2020-March/msg00286.html support the transparent decryption and inspection of Windows guests encrypted with BitLocker encryption. To do the BitLocker decryption requires cryptsetup 2.3.0 (although cryptsetup 2.3 is not required for existing LUKS use). It also requires a new-ish Linux kernel, I

[PATCH v2 0/7] Windows BitLocker support.
Original version linked from here: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1808977#c8 There is no change in the code in this series, but feedback from the original series was we shouldn't lose the error message in patch 7. When I tested this just now in fact we don't lose the error if debugging is enabled, but I have updated the commit message to note what the error message is in the

[PATCH v3 0/8] Windows BitLocker support.
As discussed in the emails today, this is the third version addressing most points from the v1/v2 review. You will need to pair this with the changes in libguestfs-common from this series: https://www.redhat.com/archives/libguestfs/2020-September/msg00050.html Rich.

RAID[56] status
If we''ve abandoned the idea of putting the number of redundant blocks into the top bits of the type bitmask (and I hope we have), then we''re fairly much there. Current code is at: git://, http://git.infradead.org/users/dwmw2/btrfs-raid56.git git://, http://git.infradead.org/users/dwmw2/btrfs-progs-raid56.git We have recovery working, as well as both full-stripe writes

LVM encryption and new volume group
Hi Chris, thanks for your answer. It is the first time I decided to encrypt my lvm. I choosed to encrypt the volume group, not every logical volume itself, because in case of doing lvm snapshots in that group they will be encrypted too? And how do I create a new encrypted volume group? Regards Tim Am 6. M?rz 2015 01:58:23 MEZ, schrieb Chris Murphy <lists at colorremedies.com>: >On
