[PATCH 0/3] Send: minor cleanups, add RO checks
First two patches are trivial cleanups that I''ve spotted while reading send.c,
can be applied independently.
The third patch contains the important bits, safety checks that the subvolumes
involved in send do not accidentally lose the RO status. I haven''t seen this
documented anywhere that this is mandatory, implied from how I assume send
works. Please let me know if this is

[PATCH] Btrfs: incompatible format change to remove hole extents V4
Btrfs has always had these filler extent data items for holes in inodes. This
has made somethings very easy, like logging hole punches and sending hole
punches. However for large holey files these extent data items are pure
overhead. So add an incompatible feature to no longer add hole extents to
reduce the amount of metadata used by these sort of files. This has a few
changes for logging and

[PATCH] Btrfs: stop using vfs_read in send
Apparently we don''t actually close the files until we return to userspace, so
stop using vfs_read in send. This is actually better for us since we can avoid
all the extra logic of holding the file we''re sending open and making sure to
clean it up. This will fix people who have been hitting too many files open
errors when trying to send. Thanks,

Re: Diff using send-receive code
Hello,
We''re a team of 4 final year computer science students and are
working on generating a diff between file system snapshots using the
send receive code.
The output of our utility looks like this-
(I''ve tested it on a small subvol with minimal changes just to give an idea)
root@nafisa-M-6319:/mnt/btrfs# btrfs sub diff -p /mnt/btrfs/snap1

[PATCH 02/11] Btrfs: use atomic for fs_info->last_trans_committed
fs_info->last_trans_committed is a 64bits variant, we might get a wrong
value on the 32bit machines if we access it directly. Fix it by atomic
operation.

[PATCH] Btrfs-progs: add send option for using new end-cmd semantic
This commit adds a command line option to enable sending streams
which make use of the new end-cmd semantic if multiple snapshots are
sent back-to-back. The goal is to use the <end cmd> as an indication
to stop reading the input stream. So far, the receiver could only
use EOF to recognize the end.
If the new command line option ''-e'' is set, this commit requires a

btrfs-progs: re-add send-test
From: Mark Fasheh <mfasheh@suse.de>
btrfs-progs: re-add send-test
send-test.c links against libbtrfs and uses the send functionality provided
to decode and print a send stream to the console.
66819df "btrfs-progs: add send-test" contained this file when
submitted, but somehow got lost on commit.

[Request for review] [RFC] Add label support for snapshots and subvols
From: Anand Jain <anand.jain@oracle.com>
(This patch is for the review/test not yet for the integration).
Here is an implementation of the feature to add label to the
subvolume and snapshots. Which would help sysadmin to better manager
the subvol and snapshots.
This can be done in two ways, one - using attr which is user land
only changes but drawback is able to change the label

Problem detecting Sil3124 SATA controllers off of Sandy Bridge northbridge-connected PCIe slots
Hi,
We're having some trouble with detection of a couple of Sil3124 SATA
controller cards on newer motherboard and processor combos.
Specifically, we're running a Supermicro X9SCM-F motherboard (latest
BIOS) and Intel E3-1220v2 CPU.
What we're seeing:
- Syba Sil3124 PCIe cards are only being detected when installed in PCIe
Slot 4
-- The motherboard documentation shows that this
