Eicon Diva - problems building new v3 melware driver
Hi Armin!
I have problems on debian sarge with standard 2.6.8-2-386 kernel.
I've installed the packages:
kernel-headers-2.6.8-2
kernel-headers-2.6.8-2-386
kernel-image-2.6.8-2-386
kernel-kbuild-2.6-3
kernel-source-2.6.8
Then I unpacked the kernel sources into /usr/src/kernel-source-2.6.8 and
made a symlink from /usr/src/linux --> kernel-source-2.6.8
Then I entered

[PATCH v9 05/19] qspinlock: Optimize for smaller NR_CPUS
When we allow for a max NR_CPUS < 2^14 we can optimize the pending
wait-acquire and the xchg_tail() operations.
By growing the pending bit to a byte, we reduce the tail to 16bit.
This means we can use xchg16 for the tail part and do away with all
the repeated compxchg() operations.
This in turn allows us to unconditionally acquire; the locked state
as observed by the wait loops cannot change.

iproute2 & kernel 2.6.3
Hi,
I''m trying to compile iproute with my fresh kernel 2.6.3, it works well
with 2.6.2 but impossible with this one.
My version of gcc is 3.3.3 and the version of iproute2 is
iproute2-2.4.7-now-ss010824.
Any suggestion ?

This seems entirely superfluous, I don't think a kernel build will go
anywhere if either is missing.
