[PATCH v2 0/3] btrfs-progs: prevent mkfs from aborting with small volume
Here are 3 patches to avoid undesired aborts of mkfs.btrfs. These are based on top of Chris''s btrfs-progs.git: git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/mason/btrfs-progs.git Thanks, H.Seto Hidetoshi Seto (3): btrfs-progs: error if device for mkfs is too small btrfs-progs: error if device have no space to make primary chunks btrfs-progs: calculate available

[PATCH] stopmachine: add stopmachine_timeout v4
If stop_machine() invoked while one of onlined cpu is locked up by some reason, stop_machine cannot finish its work because the locked cpu cannot stop. This means all other healthy cpus will be blocked infinitely by one dead cpu. This patch allows stop_machine to return -EBUSY with some printk messages if any of stop_machine's threads cannot start running on its target cpu in time. You can

[PATCH] btrfs: fix d_off in the first dirent
Since the d_off in the first dirent for "." (that originates from the 4th argument "offset" of filldir() for the 2nd dirent for "..") is wrongly assigned in btrfs_real_readdir(), telldir returns same offset for different locations. | # mkfs.btrfs /dev/sdb1 | # mount /dev/sdb1 fs0 | # cd fs0 | # touch file0 file1 | # ../test | telldir: 0 | readdir: d_off = 2,

[RFC] Btrfs: Allow the compressed extent size limit to be modified v2
Provide for modification of the limit of compressed extent size utilizing mount-time configuration settings. The size of compressed extents was limited to 128K, which leads to fragmentation of the extents (although the extents themselves may still be located contiguously). This limit is put in place to ease the RAM required when spreading compression across several CPUs, and to make sure the

[PATCH] btrfs: flushoncommit mount option
Hi Chris- Here''s a simpler version of the patch that drops the unrelated sync_fs stuff. thanks- sage The ''flushoncommit'' mount option forces any data dirtied by a write in a prior transaction to commit as part of the current commit. This makes the committed state a fully consistent view of the file system from the application''s perspective (i.e., it

[PATCH] Btrfs: allow subvol deletion by unprivileged user with -o user_subvol_rm_allowed
Add a mount option user_subvol_rm_allowed that allows users to delete a (potentially non-empty!) subvol when they would otherwise we allowed to do an rmdir(2). We duplicate the may_delete() checks from the core VFS code to implement identical security checks (minus the directory size check). [PATCH] Btrfs: add "nocompress" mount option
In btrfs if we mount with "compress" we have no way to disable compressing by remounting (mount -o remount /mnt/btrfs), only by unmounting and mounting without "compress". This patch adds "nocompress" mount option which can be used to remount the filesystem without compression: # mount -o remount,nocompress /mnt/btrfs This option is usefull in cases when we have a

[LLVMdev] floating point: seto opcode
Hi, Given the following in ISDOpcodes.h SETO, // 0 1 1 1 True if ordered (no nans) SETUO, // 1 0 0 0 True if unordered: isnan(X) | isnan(Y) Is it safe to assume that SETO is not of SETUO? We have support for setuo in the architecture but not seto. Sirish -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...

Permanent uncancellable balance
Hello, I have a filesystem that has become unusable because of a balance I can''t stop. It is very close to full, and the balance is preventing me from growing it. It was started like this: sudo btrfs filesystem balance start -v -musage=60 -dusage=60 /srv/backups It has been stuck at 0% across reboots and kernel upgrades (currently on 3.8.1), and cancelling it had no effect: Balance

A pattern for portable __builtin_add_overflow()
Hi LLVM, clang, I'm trying to write a portable version of __builtin_add_overflow() it a way that the compiler would recognize the pattern and use the add_overflow intrinsic / the best possible machine instruction. Here are docs about these builtins: https://clang.llvm.org/docs/LanguageExtensions.html#checked-arithmetic-builtins . With unsigned types this is easy: int uaddo_native(unsigned

[LLVMdev] Regarding ARM CodeGen
Hi Evan, Thanks for the answers. I had few more queries though. 1. As far as I was able to understand the Codegen infrastructure, ARMInstrInfo.td file has complete description of the instructions which modify the status flags. For example, we have description for both ADD and ADDS. But the problem is that in LLVM, we have a single "ADD" Instruction. Thus when we do getDesc(add), we get

[PATCH]Add the Japanese keymap for VNC Server.
Hi All, My name is Takanori Kasai. This is a first time to send mail. I found the key that was not able to be input to HVM Domain (VTx and VTi Domain) through VNC Server with Japanese keyboard. I think that it is a cause by lack of some keys in Japanese keymap and the key symbol table in qemu-dm. This patch is addition of the keys for Japanese keyboard. My best regards. - Takanori Kasai

Hi ALL I have a question about DISK space of OCFS2. I copy a file by a "cp" command after check the DISK space by "df -k" command. There is no change when I cheked the DISK space by "df -k"command again. I show below an procedure. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- root at CPU_N:/fm/bbb> ls -l total 3 -rwxr-xr-x 1
