[RFC] Btrfs: Allow the compressed extent size limit to be modified v2
Provide for modification of the limit of compressed extent size utilizing mount-time configuration settings. The size of compressed extents was limited to 128K, which leads to fragmentation of the extents (although the extents themselves may still be located contiguously). This limit is put in place to ease the RAM required when spreading compression across several CPUs, and to make sure the

[PATCH] Btrfs-progs: make scrub IO priority configurable
The btrfs tool is changed in order to support command line parameters to configure the IO priority of the scrub tasks. Also the default is changed. The default IO priority for scrub is the idle class now. Some basic performance measurements have been done with the goal to measure which IO priority for scrub gives the best overall disk data throughput. The kernel was configured to use the CFQ IO

[PATCH v4 0/6] btrfs: generic readeahead interface
This series introduces a generic readahead interface for btrfs trees. The intention is to use it to speed up scrub in a first run, but balance is another hot candidate. In general, every tree walk could be accompanied by a readahead. Deletion of large files comes to mind, where the fetching of the csums takes most of the time. Also the initial build-ups of free-space-caches and

[PATCH][cfq-cgroups] Introduce cgroups structure with ioprio entry.
This patch introcude cfq_cgroup structure which is type for group control within expanded CFQ scheduler. In addition, the cfq_cgroup structure has "ioprio" entry which is preference of group for I/O. [RFC][PATCH -mm] blktrace: adds ioprio to blktrace
Hi, The following patch adds ioprio to blktrace. Explanation: As you know, I/O schedulers such as cfq use io_contexts of current tasks to schedule block I/O. But recently, some are suggesting to use more appropriate io_contexts obtained by, for example, doing io-tracking, making struct bio have io_context member, etc. I thought adding ioprio to blktrace output might be helpful. Implementation:
