fsck.btrfs assertion failure with large number of disks in fs
Hello all
We are experimenting with btrfs and we''ve run into some problems.
We are running on two Sun Storage J4400 Arrays containing a total of
48 1 TB disks.
With 24 disks in the btrfs:

btrfs: failed to read chunk tree on vde1 (f18 anaconda crash)
Hi,
I reported a bug to anaconda (rhbz 901905), but it might be btfs related.
Anaconda does this:

btrfsctl -a doesn't find my btrfs
If I scan I device with a btrfs with -A, it finds it:
(~/btrfs-progs-unstable) sudo ./btrfsctl -A /dev/sda5
operation complete
Btrfs v0.19-1-g4f89b6e-dirty
But when I do a "scan all devices", it can''t find my btrfs on /dev/sda5:

"device delete" kills contents
Hallo, linux-btrfs,
I''ve (once again) tried "add" and "delete".
First, with 3 devices (partitions):
mkfs.btrfs -d raid0 -m raid1 /dev/sdk1 /dev/sdl1 /dev/sdm1
Mounted (to /mnt/btr), filled with about 100 GByte data.
Then
btrfs device add /dev/sdj1 /mnt/btr
results in

Thanks for the report.
I''ve just confirmed this test failure by building and running coreutils''

[BUG] Cannot Mount Btrfs Volume Created By mkfs.btrfs v0.18-26-g0030f1d
Hi,
I try to format a USB memory with a Btrfs. I can format it with
mkfs.btrfs without problems. But; when I try to mount it, it fails to
mount with the below error messages. But the USB memory works fine with
other filesystems (ext4, XFS etc.). So, the hardware is not faulty.

BTRFS partition won't mount
Hello all,
I recently had a power failure and can no longer mount my /home directory. The harddrive has two BTRFS partitions: sda7(/) and sda8(/home). The / partition loads up just fine, but /home does not. I''ve tried btrfsck as shown below and I''ve included dmesg pertaining to btrfs. This is on ArchLinux and the software versions are as follows:

If I create two snaps, I get three errors.

btrfs and mdadm raid 6
Hi. I''m considering an imminent switch from ext4 to btrfs and I''m hoping that someone can lend me advice before I do something unsupported.
I have a software raid 6 array configured via mdadm. It was sitting at 8 x 3TB until I recently doubled that, grew the array and found that ext4 doesn''t want to resize. So, I''m looking to:
1. convert from ext4 to btrfs

mkfs.btrfs - error checking /dev/sda5 mount status
Hi,
I''m hitting this issue - sda5 is a normal device, nothing to do with
loop, encryption etc.

Is there something I can do to resolve this?
Thank you

Kernel bug in BTRFS (kernel 3.3.0)
Hi,
Doing some extensive benchmarks on BTRFS, I encountered a kernel bug
in BTRFS (as reported in dmesg)
Maybe the information below can help you making btrfs better.
Situation
Doing an intensive sequential write on a SAS 3TB disk drive (SEAGATE

Device is connected through an HBA. Blocksize was 256k ; Kernel is

Understanding metadata efficiency of btrfs
I''ve run a little wired benchmark on comparing Btrfs v0.19 and XFS:
There are 2000 directories and each directory contains 1000 files.
The workload randomly stat a file or chmod a file for 2000000 times.
And the number of stat and chmod are 50% and 50%.
I monitor the number of disk read requests

[PATCH V3 0/7 ] Btrfs-progs: enhance btrfs subvol list only to show read-only snapshots
We want ''btrfs subvolume list'' only to list readonly subvolumes, this patch set
introduces a new option ''r'' to implement it.
You can use the command like that:
btrfs subvolume list -r <mnt>
Changelog v2 -> v3:
- re-implement list_subvols()
- re-implement this read-only subvolume list function based on the new list_subvols()
Changelog v1 -> v2:
