[PATCH] xfstests: unmount scratch mnt in test 307
So if you have a mount command that doesn''t use /etc/mtab then it will spit out
a different device for the mounted device. So say we have
SCRATCH_DEV_POOL="/dev/sda /dev/sdb /dev/sdc"
we will turn this into
SCRATCH_DEV="/dev/sda"
SCRATCH_DEV_POOL="/dev/sdb /dev/sdc"
and then when you mkfs this you do _scratch_mkfs $SCRATCH_DEV_POOL which turns
into this

btrfs filesystems can only be mounted after an unclean shutdown if btrfsck is run and immediately killed!
Hi all,
I have two multi-disk btrfs filesystems on a Arch linux 3.4.0 system.
After a power failure, both filesystems refuse to mount

fsck.btrfs assertion failure with large number of disks in fs
Hello all
We are experimenting with btrfs and we''ve run into some problems.
We are running on two Sun Storage J4400 Arrays containing a total of
48 1 TB disks.
With 24 disks in the btrfs:

2 root disks sdb1,sdc1; if set "root=/dev/sdc1", mtab lies saying sdb1 is root!?
I have 2 SCSI disks each w/a RH 7.3 ext3 root filesystem: /dev/sdb1, and /dev/sdc1.
/dev/sda1 is an old RH4.2 root filesystem. (sdb1 was created as an image of sdc1
using dd.)
I have no problem booting from a SYSLINUX 1.52 floppy with SYSLINUX.CFG
containing "append initrd=initrd.img root=/dev/sdb1".
When I alter SYSLINUX.CFG with:
"append initrd=initrd.img root=/dev/sdc1".

Some questions after devices addition to existing raid 1 btrfs filesystem
Hi,

Big devices and missing space
Hello,
I have a Promise EX 12-port RAID controller in my box, connected to 8
750GB disks. I have set up 2 RAID-5 devices and joined these using LVM.
This is working fine.
However, there is something that seems wrong..
(4-1) * 750 = 2250, but df reports the LVM volume as a mere 4.0T;
/dev/mapper/storage_volume-stor 4.0T 3.6T 507G 88% /storage
Shouldn't this be 4.5TB?

[PATCH 2/2] Btrfs: Fix setting umask when POSIX ACLs are not enabled
We currently set sb->s_flags |= MS_POSIXACL unconditionally, which is
incorrect -- it tells the VFS that it shouldn''t set umask because we
will, yet we don''t set it ourselves if we aren''t using POSIX ACLs, so
the umask ends up ignored.

btrfsctl -A not returning useful information
[root@btrfs progs-unstable]# btrfsctl -A /dev/sdb
ioctl returns 0
[root@btrfs progs-unstable]# btrfsctl -A /dev/sdc
ioctl returns 0
/dev/sdb has a btrfs, while /dev/sdc is blank. What''s that output
supposed to mean ? Is it a bug ?

I installed a fresh copy of Debian 4.0 and Xen 3.1.0 SMP PAE from the
binaries. I had a few issues getting fully virtualized guests up and
running, but finally managed to figure everything out. Now I''m having a
problem with paravirtualized guests and hoping that someone can help.
