Hello everyone, Yan Zheng''s latest commit redoes the extent back references to make them more efficient. This includes a new disk format, so any pulls from the git unstable trees will have a new disk format to them. btrfs_start_delalloc_inodes livelocks when creating snapshot under IO
Greetings all, I see the following issue during snap creation under IO: Transaction commit calls btrfs_start_delalloc_inodes() that locks the delalloc_inodes list, fetches the first inode, unlocks the list, triggers btrfs_alloc_delalloc_work/btrfs_queue_worker for this inode and then locks the list again. Then it checks the head of the list again. In my case, this is always exactly the same

system hang with btrfs master
I''m using btrfs on two devices here, /usr on sda3 and /home on sdb (dm-crypt device on the whole disk). With btrfs-master the whole system hangs when accessing /home. The system hangs when I''m logging in into my account with KDE and is easily reproducible with dbench. On /usr the hangs appeared also but not as often as on the /home-device. I''ve tested on a third

[PATCH] Progs: update convert for uninitialized block groups
Hello, There is a new feature ''uninitialized block groups'' in ext4. Block and inode bitmaps in uninitialized block groups are uninitialized. This confuses the converter. The fix is call ext2fs_new_inode for each block group at open time. It set up uninitialized block and inode bitmaps appropriately. This patch also contains some other minor fixes.
