As far as I saw, since some microsoft patch for AD, winbind client from samba 3.0.14 (and prior versions) does not work properly for getting users and groups from Active Directory. This problem was solved in 3.0.20. I just installed Win 7 RTM (Release to Manufacturing), not RC nor Beta. After searching the archives I modified the required registry settings listed in other emails. I upgraded my Samba from the stock Centos 5.3 version to 3.3.7. Joining the domain worked, but I was unable to log in. Hi folks, I want to fix hole in my asterisk set up. I use Vocal as my sip proxy and * for voice mail and the g/w to PSTN, Iconnect, fwd etc. So from Vocal I redirect sip requests which needs to go 'other' places. This senario works fine.
