Using require_relative to speed up rspec require time.
Hi, I noticed recently that require ''rspec'' on my machine was taking close to half a second. That''s not a huge amount of time, but it is still the single slowest part of my test suite. It boils down to Ruby 1.9''s rather slow require. I''m using 1.9.3, but I''d still like to shave off some of the require time. As an experiment, I went into

Problem Installing Latest WINE in Backtrack 4
Hi all! A quick question: I just moved from Windows over to Linux, using Backtrack 4, which is based off of Ubuntu if I am not mistaken. One of the programs that I really need to get running, www.magicworkstation.com , really needs one of the later (unstable) releases of WINE to work. Well, so I go to follow the instructions to get the updated version, using the Ubuntu instructions and I get a

Understanding the version handling in LLVM/Clang/LLD
[ Please CC me I ma not subcribed to this mailing-list ] [ CC Tom and Hans as LLVM/stable maintainers ] Hi, I want to understand the version handling in LLVM/Clang/LLD. Normally, I build from "release/10.x" Git branch by using the tool tc-build from ClangBuiltLinux project. With "llvm-10.0.1-rc1" Git tag I was able to setup a llvm-toolchain consisting of the projects

(Rails3-master) erubis: how to use things like preprocessing?
(Rails3 latest git master) Subject says it. I''m trying to figure out how to use erubis features described here: http://www.kuwata-lab.com/erubis/users-guide.05.html#rails, especially preprocessing. My question is, where do I place the Erubis::Helpers::RailsHelper.preprocessing=true Not in application.rb, at that point the object does not exist yet it seems. I wonder why I

Hi, Let's say I have 2 domains: - Virtual Mailbox Domain: example.local (internal domain) - Virtual Alias Domain: example.com (public domain) Every mail sent to @example.com is really sent to @example.local. I have a virtual alias that forward mails sent to support-abc at example.com is sent finally to: op1 at example.local Now, I'd want to every mail was sent to support-abc at

Hi Tom, thanks and congrats for LLVM 10.0.1-rc1 release. [1] shows 2 assets. 10.0.0 RCs had a lot of more assets. I am missing the llvm-project-10.0.1rc1.tar.xz tarball. Will you provide them later or is there a new development/workflow decision I do not know of? BTW, the source zip and tar.gz tarballs show no sizes. I am using Mobile LTE/UMTS to download stuff from the Internet. For now I

[LLVMdev] gfortran: patch, question
Hi, I have a first quick patch and a question. The patch links f951 with g++ when LLVM is enabled. It's at the end of this email. I wanted to know if I should submit patches with comments around them like the "APPLE LOCAL LLVM" ones that mark the LLVM-only changes to the tree. I'd like to make it as easy as possible to apply these, so let me know any rules I should be following.

Does RSpec interfere with Pathname#dirname or Pathname#realpath ?
Hi, I starting a new project, and have run into behavior I cannot replicate in irb, (i.e. outside of using rspec) when the directory? returns true, so I thought I''d ask here, in case any one has seen this badhavior. ruby-1.9.2-p136 rspec (2.5.0) rspec-core (2.5.1) rspec-expectations (2.5.0) rspec-mocks (2.5.0) When I try to run this spec: require Pathname(__FILE__).ascend { |d|

update_attributes
My application is so far mostly built from scaffold. When I edit an existing record (I''ve turned off validation) the update method is called. I get this error: NoMethodError in <module>/<controller>#update You have a nil object when you didn''t expect it! You might have expected an instance of Array. The error occured while evaluating nil.+ I get the same error when

[LLVMdev] Proposed Makefile Changes
Hi, In buildling XPS using LLVM's makefile system, I'm finding that there's a few things lacking in our support for LLVM-based projects. The items below should help but may require changes to project makefiles. I thought I'd check before just going and doing it. 1. Various autoconf generated variables (e.g. abs_top_srcdir) are set in the makefiles but not used. They

[LLVMdev] Compilation problem when addind a library
Hi ! Here is the situation. I created a pass in lib/Transforms/Obfuscation. I added a createFlattening() in IPO.h and in my code to be able to use it in PassManagerBuilder.cpp (lib/Transforms/IPO) in the method PopulateModulePassManager() so I can add my pass to standard passes. It all works if I add all my files in the lib/Transforms/IPO directory. But I want to keep them away in the

[PATCH] BTRFS-PROG: recursively subvolume snapshot and delete
Hi All, the following patches implement the recursively snapshotting and deleting of a subvolume. To snapshot recursively you must pass the -R switch: # btrfs subvolume create sub1 Create subvolume ''./sub1'' # btrfs subvolume create sub1/sub2 Create subvolume ''sub1/sub2'' # btrfs subvolume snapshot -R sub1 sub1-snap Create a snapshot of

R and Forex
Hi all, I recently started learning about Forex and found this O'Reilly book in Barnes & Nobles about R. I bought it out of pure curiosity. I like what I see. However, I have a question. Has anyone tried to bring these two ideas together in a financial and trading sense? Are there any libraries or modules in R that can aid in this venture? --Yves [[alternative HTML version
