ActiveResource:: HttpMock
I''m trying to set up testing on my ActiveResource project. The HttpMock appears to be what I want, but whenever I use the code in the "documentation", I get the error NameError: uninitialized constant ActiveResource::HttpMock Is there something I need to do to enable HttpMock testing? Thanks, Tom

ActiveResource Mock Objects
Some of my tests use ActiveResource HttpMock requests and some of them do not. Does anyone know if there is a way to disable the HttpMocks after they have already been loaded? The method ActiveResource::HttpMock.reset! only removes all the objects, but ActiveResource still thinks it should look for mock requests rather than actually making requests. I hope this makes sense! Thanks, Tom --

ActiveResource and InvalidAuthenticityToken exception
Hi, I have a Rails 2.1.1 web app, and a Rails 2.1.1 app acting as a client by using ActiveResource. From the client, I can find, create, and update resources owned by the web app. However, I can not delete any. Calling the .destroy method in ActiveResource generates a 422 from the web app. Not sure why this would be the case, since I thought protect_from_forgery only protects HTML and JS

Hi everyone, I need some insight into a problem I just started having. I''m running ruby 1.8.6 on an ubuntu box with the following gems installed: $ sudo gem list --local *** LOCAL GEMS *** actionmailer (2.3.5, 2.3.4, 2.3.2, 2.2.2) actionpack (2.3.5, 2.3.4, 2.3.2, 2.2.2) activerecord (2.3.5, 2.3.4, 2.3.2, 2.2.2) activeresource (2.3.5, 2.3.4, 2.3.2, 2.2.2) activesupport (2.3.5, 2.3.4,

ActiveResource and RESful edit
Hi I''d like to know how to have ActiveResource generate a URL for the /teams/1/edit type of resource. I''ve got custom_methods.rb and have used Team.find(1).get(:edit) This generates http://localhost:xxxx/teams/1/edit.xml But all I get returned is a hash of the attributes (in this case of team 1), rather than an object of team 1. In other words the

Headers in ActiveResource
I am creating a rails app that is a gui wraping a restful web service that uses a websso for authentication. This websso sets a series of headers that I need to pass from the request to the ActiveResource.find methods. As this is stuff like username etc it is going to be different for each request. I can find examples on how to set headers for all requests not just one. Does anyone know of a way

ActiveResource: prefix attributes that are mass assigned are not readable - Stale ?
Hi, I noticed that 2 days ago that this ticket was marked "stale". https://rails.lighthouseapp.com/projects/8994/tickets/6171 But the issue is still here (I checked just now), and it reminded me I had a patch for it I forgot to submit, so I attached the patch file to the ticket. Since I''m still new on this, can someone please point me the right procedure ? Should I have

Harmonizing JSON/XML serialization
The way Rails handles root nodes in JSON and XML serialization is inconsistent. This has been discussed before: https://rails.lighthouseapp.com/projects/8994/tickets/2584-232-activeresource-json-doesnt-send-parameters-with-root-node This seems mostly taken care of with ActiveModel::Base.include_root_in_json, especially if/when it ends up in ActiveResource. However, there is also the issue of how

Routing a Sinatra application
Hello, I wish to route a sinatra application in my Rails 3 app. As said by Yehuda, it should be possible. http://yehudakatz.com/2009/12/26/the-rails-3-router-rack-it-up/ However I see the route isn''t recognized and I get ActionController::RoutingError problems. It works well with simple rack apps however (the test in actionpack with a lambda passes well). I''ve written a test

ActiveResource testing
Hi, I''m trying to make some good testing on active resources, but I''ve some trouble with the *post* method. Basically this is my mock, where I set the POST verb and the expected URI. ActiveResource::HttpMock.respond_to do |mock| mock.post "/locations/buildings.xml?description=new- description&name=new-name", {}, @variable, 201 end Now, if I call the post

ActiveRecord belongs_to ActiveResource
class Thing < ActiveRecord::Base belongs_to :other_thing end class OtherThing < ActiveResource::Base self.site = ... end The association here works. I can access other_thing from thing with no problems until, as usual, testing. Specifically functionally test the things_controller. The things controller is simple scaffold, however, having the association to an active resource model

ActiveResources 0.1.0 Released
See the blog post at http://blog.lonestarsoftware.net/2007/03/09/active_resources-010-released/ Reading through the rails blogosphere last week, I read a post (which I can not find again) that suggested a completely different approach to AJAX use in rails apps. The idea was to create a Javascript proxy to the ActiveRecord models and allow AR operations to be called from the client. I see this

Missing Content-Length header breaks ActiveResource 3.1 on create
Hi, I''ve recently moved a 3.0 app ta 3.1 and am finding that ActiveResource breaks after a successful post because we now check for the presence of the Content-Length header[1] after a successful create (basically whenever the API returns a 201). The API is also on 3.1, and this only happens on staging/pre-prod/prod. I''m still investigating, but one thing that is clear is that

Why would, in an upgrade from 3.0.1 to 3.0.3, a rake db:migrate run this: SELECT "schema_migrations"."version" FROM "schema_migrations" vs this ? Troll - A Rails plugin for making webservice mocking easier
Hi Folks, Troll trumps your existing ActiveResource mocking libraries like inbuilt HttpMock,Fakeweb or Webmock out of water. With Troll, ActiveResource mocking just works, some of its features: 1. Don''t need to mock calls at Net::HTTP level (which webmock, fakeweb do). Really, we don''t care what HTTP library ActiveResource uses, fakeweb and webmock bring additional complexity

Include ActiveResource
Hello, I want to give ActiveResource a spin. I have all the code checked out from SVN in vendor/rails (yes, including ActiveResource). I''m trying to make sure it gets loaded. I did this in environment.rb: config.load_paths += %W( #{RAILS_ROOT}/vendor/rails/activeresource/lib ) Unfortunately I still can''t use it. I have an ActiveResource derived model, Address: class
