httpd crashes after signal HUP
Hello
I'm running CentOS 5.3 with httpd-2.2.3-22.el5.centos.x86_64 and php-5.1.6-23.2.el5_3.x86_64. When the logrotate scripts run and send the HUP signal to httpd, the httpd process quits instead of reloading. The only thing I can find in the logs is this:
[Sun Apr 19 04:02:04 2009] [notice] seg fault or similar nasty error detected in the parent process
There wasn't any segfault

Best Asterisk Platform
What is the best asterisk platform to use? What are you guys using?
I am looking for something to host either in our data center or at the
customer prem where I have the control over the unit and not through a
contractor.
I dont mind paying a license fee for a front end interface but still would
rather not have to pay.
Thanks,

SOLVED- Re: help installing R on Linux Mint 21.2
Luben,
We all have different types of learning and how we approach this, let alone
how we decompose things. With that, sorry you found this frustrating. Many
of us put volunteer time into this trying to make things 'possible' and
preferably 'easy' but we don't always get there.
That said, I have shown multiple times over the last few years that the

difficulty in Ubuntu 14.04 apt-getting R 3.3.2
Hi:
I have a Dockerfile, which builds an image which installed R 3.3.2 in
Ubuntu 14.04, but building using that Dockerfile seems to have stopped
working and I am unclear why.
I believe the relevant error is:
Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have
requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable
distribution that some required packages have not yet

AD authentication problem
I'm having a problem authenticating to Active Directory. I can join
the machine to the domain, wbinfo -g/-u will list the groups and users
and I can map a drive using: smbclient -k //s-lorentz.s-res.uva.nl/c\$
However when I try to get the linux machine to authenticate a user
it doesn't work giving the error NT_STATUS_NO_LOGON_SERVERS
(0xc000005e). Looking further in the logs it fails

normal score transform
Dear list,
could someone point me to the normal score transform and it's use in R?
I would like to transform my data with normal score transform, do some
geostatsitical predictions and would like to transform the estimated values
back including the estimation variance.
Any suggestions?

winword2000 has pipe problems
High dears,
I just do my first step on wine on SuSE8.2 and Wine 20030508, installed
from new rpm for SuSE.
First I have installed the Office2000 with that command:
Office2000 Prem> wine --dll cabinet=n --debugmsg +loaddll setup.exe
hat it seems to be work: I have got the messages "restart your Computer".
After that I start
wine notepad
only to see if wine is still working

attr_accessible on some properties + attr_protected on others makes class 'open-by-default'
(I posted this as a bug in GitHub
(https://github.com/rails/rails/issues/7018), but then someone there told
me I should post it here, so here it is.)
If you set attr_accessible on some properties in an ActiveRecord-descended
class, and then attr_protected on others - the class becomes ''default-open''
- if any properties are missed or added later, they will be accessible by

Request for help with UBSAN and total absense of CRAN response
CRAN has a package of mine in upload limbo because it failed UBSAN.
I am not entirely ignorant on the topic of sanitizers and SAN / ASAN / UBSAN;
we created not one but two Docker containers with ASAN and USBAN:
https://registry.hub.docker.com/u/rocker/r-devel-san/
https://registry.hub.docker.com/u/rocker/r-devel-ubsan-clang/
as well as predecessors to them in earlier Docker repos.

Rails plugins new official maintainers
Hey guys,
This is the final list of the new maintainers of each plugin.
We need two more things to do:
First please the owners of the repos add the rest of the maintainers.
Second I will add a note on each rails/plugin mentioning this repos updates.
So from now on, if someone else is interested in helping/contributing
please send a message to the appropriate repo owner.

azure ad provisioning | password hashes sync
Hi,
We are (again) looking at syncing our samba AD to the azure AD cloud.
I installed a win2016 server domain member server and set it up for
syncing, including password hashes, so users can login azure/O365 using
their on-prem passwords.
We're using microsoft's latest tech: the new "Azure AD Connect cloud
provisioning". We made sure to check "password hash sync".

Rails 3.0 API doesn't do word-wrap
Hi Guys,
I just realize that on the API documentation the code snippet is overflowing off the screen. Is this an intended behavior? Or who should I contact to get this one fixed.
You can see the screenshot here: http://skitch.com/sikachu/dw82n/screen-shot-2553-08-30-at-16.24.26
Thanks :)
