pciback.hide sundance
Hi, I am trying to set up a Xen server using two 4-port NIC cards. The exact type: D-Link DFE 580TX. There are no problems using this cards under plain linux. The driver is called ''sundance''. But when I use pciback.hide the DomU can''t access this card. I have had the same task when using the NIC BCM 5708 (NetXtreme II). I had found a message in

Stange NIC Problem: DFE-538TX
Hi there, I'm having an odd problem where this NIC (cheap-o, yes I know) doesn't seem to work on FreeBSD correctly. I have the same cards (even revision models) in two win boxen and they work fine. 10baseT works but not 100baseT. With a normal NIC config, without explicitly setting the media to 10baseT, it will autosense as 100BaseT @ full-duplex, showing active. However I can't

Encore/sundance boards?
I have this cheap "ENCORE 10/100Mbps Fast Ethernet PCI Adapter" which comes with its own driver that compiles to 'sundance.ko' and performs bad (30% packet loss) on a fully updated CentOS 4.4 box. This brand, model and driver have worked OK for me on some other CentOS installations, none of which are 4.4. Short of replacing the board, which you can bet I will do, can anybody

Kernel panic with load balancing
Hi! I''ve 5 DSL routers and a linux router in a switch. The linux router is doing NAT for a LAN network, but it freezes when I set up load balancing with this command: ip route add default proto static\ nexthop via 192.168.1.10 dev eth1\ nexthop via 192.168.1.20 dev eth1\ nexthop via 192.168.1.30 dev eth1\ nexthop via 192.168.1.40 dev eth1\ nexthop

Compile an additional driver module
Hello everone, I am new to this mailing list. I am regarding problems while trying to load an additional driver module. The module is sundance.o, used for D-Link DFE 550 nics. I downloaded this driver tarball from the D-Links website. I am using Syslinux 1.52 which is based on the 2.4.18 kernel. My syslinux is embedded on three floppy disks and all works pretty well and boots up without any

Bug#390927: xen-hypervisor-3.0.2-1-i386: Xen kernel panics when booting
Package: xen-hypervisor-3.0.2-1-i386 Version: 3.0.2-3+hg9762-1 Severity: grave Justification: renders package unusable When booting Xen Dom0 on my Dell 2950, the kernel panics. I have been unable to get the serial console working under xen (works under normal kernels), so the best debugging info I can provide is a screenshot of the console when it dies. I will attach that after the bug is

Network card w/special module
Hello, I have this cheap network card which insists on me compiling its own sundance.ko module every time I update my kernel release. I had the poor idea to leave nightly yum service enabled on this remote server, only to find my network was gone at the following reboot. Had to go there, figure out that kernel stuff is carefully avoided by up2date, but not so by yum service, and rebuild. Compiling

gnbd vs drbd
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Up until now, I have been using drbd for file custers with great success. Yes, it is a PITA, and sometimes you can get annoying sincronization issues (mostly on lab situations). Now I have been considering giving gnbd (with cs/gfs) a try. Do any of you ever crossed this path ? Any comparisons or comments ? TIA, - -- Rodrigo Barbosa "Quid

rl(4) is broken in STABLE
Hi! Revisions 1.38.2.17/1.38.2.18 of src/sys/pci/if_rl.c (and corresponding 1.14.2.6 of src/sys/pci/if_rlreg.h) broke rl(4) at least for D-Link DFE 530TX+ 10/100BaseTX. I've sent PR an hour ago but still did not get its number. Meantime I've rolled back these revisions, rebuilt kernel and my NICs work again. Eugene Grosbein

sundance spa filters
A Clean Filter is the most important element of clean water, because it filters all the 'dirty-stuff' from the water. Clogged Filters don't work so you need to deep-clean or replace your filter(s) on a regular basis. For more details visit:http://www.spa-daddy.com/
