Hi, I'm working with a fairly massive data set and I need to allocate memory beyond the 2GB limit. I'm using R 1.5.0 on a SunOS 5.8 machine (16 GB RAM). Is there a way in samba to create files greater then 2GB in size? I'm tarring some stuff to a samba share (from one linux server to another, share mounted using smbmount) and I get an error "File size limit exceeded" and the size of the file is 2147483647 bytes. According to http://mirror-status.centos.org a whopping number of 227 mirrors are currently out of date.
