Converting nested "for" loops to an "apply" function(s)
Hello, I would like to know more about how to use the "apply" family and have attempted to convert nested "for" loops in example code from Contributed Documentation ("The Friendly Beginners' R Course? by Toby Marthews (ZIP, 2007-03-01)") to an "apply" function(s). The relevant code is: distances=c(51,65,175,196,197,125,10,56) #distances of 8 houses

[LLVMdev] Offset in MCFixup
Hi, I'm trying to implement a 10-bit relocation that does not start at the beginning of a byte-boundary and I'm not entirely sure I understand the use by some targets of MCFixup.Offset and MCFixupKindInfo.TargetOffset. LLVM's documentation states that: MCFixup.Offset -"/// The byte index of start of the relocation inside the encoded instruction."

Positioning
I''m trying to understand the Position object. Specially the various offset methods. From looking at the code I think I may understand them but I wanted to run it by the group to make sure I had a clear understanding. realOffset - This returns the coordinates of the element as if none of the elements on the page are scrollable from the document edge. cumulativeOffset - This returns

Prototype: Possible bug in Element.positionedOffset?
I''ve been using prototype and CSS for about a month now and I am confused as to why Element.positionedOffset doesn''t always work consistently between IE6/7 and FireFox 2. More than likely I am just not understanding something. The demo of the code can be found here: http://www.synaptik.com/downloads/prototype/bugs/positionedOffset.html. The gist of what I am trying to do is get

Upgrade server to run on Rails 2.3.2/F11
Note that one of the 8 patches (#6) will be sent separately in reply to this email, as some of the replaced lines are too long, so git won't let me send the email. However, there is nothing wrong with that patch, and it should be applied in the sequence listed below. Note also that I assume this will be tested on a clean f11 install, rather than an upgrade of an existing ovirt server

[LLVMdev] [llvm-commits] [PATCH] BasicBlock Autovectorization Pass
Tobias, et al., Attached is the my autovectorization pass. I've fixed a bug that appears when using -bb-vectorize-aligned-only, fixed some 80-col violations, etc., and at least on x86_64, all test cases pass except for a few; and all of these failures look like instruction-selection bugs. For example: MultiSource/Applications/ClamAV - fails to compile shared_sha256.c with an error: error in

RE: Make all LI items draggable
If you want the whole list draggable as one entity, you make one draggable. If you want each item draggable on their own, you need to make each one a new draggable. -----Original Message----- From: rails-spinoffs-bounces-1W37MKcQCpIf0INCOvqR/iCwEArCW2h5@public.gmane.org [mailto:rails-spinoffs-bounces-1W37MKcQCpIf0INCOvqR/iCwEArCW2h5@public.gmane.org] On Behalf Of

Question abour Draggables & Droppables
Hi, What I need to know is how to change revert:true to revert:false from a draggable after I drop it on a droppable so it doesn''t return to its original place. Something like: [CODE] <!-- Draggable image --> <img alt="Product" id="item" src="icon.png"> <script type="text/javascript"> new

[LLVMdev] [llvm-commits] [PATCH] BasicBlock Autovectorization Pass
Tobias, I've attached the latest version of my autovectorization patch. I was able to add support for using the ScalarEvolution analysis for load/store pairing (thanks for your help!). This led to a modest performance increase and a modest compile-time increase. This version also has a cutoff as you suggested (although the default value is set high (4000 instructions between pairs) because

Sortable > how to know wich elementID was dropped ?
Maybe a newb question, maybe not. It''s not well documented, and I want to know how to know the id of my newly dropped item. The usage, would be to attach the newly dropped id to its *new* parent in a DB. Thanks. ???????????????????????? http://www.samueldr.com http://www.hostingquebec.ca

Scrolling Tables/Divs?
Is anyone working on a scrolling table or div such as the openrico livegrid demo? I''m looking to develop (much like smashbox''s scrolling images) a collection of thumbnails that you can scroll horizontally. I''ve got a non-prototype.js example but I wanted to check to see if anyone was closer than I to this. BTW, I will be finishing up my slider code shortly and

As in http://groups.google.es/group/rubyonrails-spinoffs/browse_thread/thread/bbd975bac3be748a?hl=es I have some problems with onDrop on a Droppable Instead of he I have only a sortable list with draggable elements (I make the list sortable and every element draggable) I try two forms: onDrop: Borrar where Borrar is something like: Borrar = function () { my code here } an onDrop:

sortable tree problem
Hello, I''m having a problem when I set the tree option to true on Sortable. If I set the option to false my remote call works fine, but once I set it to true, I get some weird log errors from Webrick... undefined method `update'' for "11":String /usr/lib/ruby/gems/1.8/gems/actionpack-1.12.1/lib/action_controller/cgi_ext/cgi_methods.rb:214:in `build_deep_hash''

question about Sortables
So, is there any way to specify a sortable to only do a callback when the dragged item is dropped? As it is, the onChange is called whenever you move the draggable to a new element (even if you don''t drop it), but I''d rather only call my function after they drop it to avoid unnecessary additional server calls. It looks like Droppable supports an ''onDrop'', but

chess
hi I''m making a chess board app in Rails using the scriptaculous drag and drop stuff. A couple of questions, I am having trouble putting the chess pieces in the correct place - simply it seems that when i make somethign draggable it changes its positioning to relative - not so good for putting pieces on a board. Why is this ? Also i can''t see an OnDrop callback in the API

Few questions
I apologize if these questions are not relevant to Scriptaculous. I just want to get a general idea if I can acomplish some or all of these things with the framework, and then what (if any) I''ll need to do outside just using javascript. For now, I have 2 column layout. On the right I want a form palette where form elements can be dragged to the left column. I have a form inside the
