Asynchronous signal handling in fasttrap provider
Hi, I was going through the implementation of the fasttrap provider. I found that when displaced execution happens (ie., when the instruction traced is being executed out of the scratch space) if an asynchrnous signal comes we need to defer the delivery. Can somebody explain why this is necessary and how is it implemented? Thanks in advance Saravanan S -------------- next part -------------- An

Booting from Compact Flash
Hi all, Advance apologies if this is OT; if so, please mail me offlist. A client is considering using CentOS5.1 for an embedded project. They will be booting from Compact Flash. The CF in the device is being controlled by a VIA VT6421 SATA/RAID controller. Are there drivers available or must we truly 'roll our own' when compiling the 2.6x kernel for this? I've done some

EOF within quoted string
Hi, Reading http://ssc.wisc.edu/~ahanna/20_newsgroups.csv after downloading it using data <- read.csv("20_newsgroups.csv",header=TRUE) throws this. Warning message: In scan(file, what, nmax, sep, dec, quote, skip, nlines, na.strings, : EOF within quoted string So, for example, the first line in the file is this. This column contains only such text. Is there a way read it ?

EOF within quoted string
Yes. I tried that already. Not straightforward. data <- read.csv("20_newsgroups.csv",fill=TRUE,as.is=T,header=F, quote="", sep=",", encoding="UTF-8") This line does read it haphazardly. The emails in the column are split into multiple columns and there are several columns with just ?NA?. Totally 202 columns. And then I removed columns with NA?s and

You might want to try some of the suggestions mentioned in this post: https://stackoverflow.com/q/17414776/2140956 Jean On Thu, Aug 10, 2017 at 7:59 AM, <Mohan.Radhakrishnan at cognizant.com> wrote: > Hi, > > Reading http://ssc.wisc.edu/~ahanna/20_newsgroups.csv after downloading > it using > > data <- read.csv("20_newsgroups.csv",header=TRUE) > >

Solaris 10 Jumpstart instructions on the wiki now
Not that I''m much of a Solaris guy, and definitely not a Solaris 10 guy, but since nobody else had posted anything yet: http://reductivelabs.com/trac/puppet/wiki/PuppetSolaris#Solaris10 The good news is that it appears to be a completely hands-off puppetd installation. Just sign the client key afterwards on the puppetmaster and you''re set. The bad news is that it''s

contrib/solaris/buildpkg.sh - use within JumpStart as well?
Hello, I don't know how off the wall this question will be, but first let me say that I've found your buildpkg.sh script very useful in creating an OpenSSH package for use on my Solaris systems. Currently I'm trying to set up a fully automated JumpStart system at my workplace, and I'm realizing that the 'postinstall' script (and possibly some of the other install scripts)

?: zfs mv within pool seems slow
I have just upgraded my jumpstart server to S10 u2 b9a. It is an Ultra 10 with two 120GB EIDE drives. The second drive (disk1) is new, and has u2b9a installed on a slice, with most of the space in slice 7 for the ZFS pool I created pool1 on disk1, and created the filesystem pool1/ro (for legacy reasons). I them moved my data from the original disk0 UFS file system to pool1/ro. Initially I

Anyone ever gotten Solaris to install from a CentOS PXE server?
I'm poking through Solaris documentation trying to figure out how to make it installable via our PXE server and, as with many things Solaris, I'm hitting walls of completely foreign procedures and setups. Has anyone managed to do this before? I'm trying to set Solaris 11.3 up.

domU static IP
Hi, I''m trying to setup xen on a server with bridge networking. I have RedHat as my dom0. I have two Ubuntu instances and one CentOS instance as domU''s. All of them (dom0 and domU) use static ip addresses. The configuration files for domU''s specify in the vif line what ip address to be assigned to that particular domU. It works fine for my ubuntu domU''s. But

Get your SXCE on ZFS here!
With the release of the Nevada build 90 binaries, it is now possible to install SXCE directly onto a ZFS root filesystem, and also put ZFS swap onto a ZFS filesystem without worrying about having it deadlock. ZFS now also supports crash dumps! To install SXCE to a ZFS root, simply use the text-based installer, after choosing "Solaris Express" from the boot menu on the DVD. DVD download

compressed root pool at installation time with flash archive predeployment script
I was trying to think of a way to set compression=on at the beginning of a jumpstart. The only idea I''ve come up with is to do so with a flash archive predeployment script. Has anyone else tried this approach? Thanks, Chad -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... URL:

vsftpd failing since upgrade to 4.2
My vsftpd was working. I use it configured via xinetd and turn it off (disabled = yes) when I'm not using it to keep the bad guys from hammering on it. Recently I upgraded to 4.2 (via yum update). That' the only change I know of on the system. And I didn't have any problems with it. Today when I try to ftp, i enabled it in xinetd.d (with disable = no and a "service
