Ajax.Autocompleter fadeoff when scrolling the list in IE and Safari
Hi All: I have a very large user table, more than 2.000, so i cant use a <select> to present the users list any more. I replace the <select> with a <input> using Ajax.Autocompleter If we type "john" or "peter" we still get a very long list, so the list shows the scroll bar, and its ok. The problem is that when we try to scroll, the list fades out. It

innerHTML and scripts not running
Hello, I''m having an issue with getting embedded javascript code to actually run when loaded via an Ajax.Request() call and the callback function inserts the generated HTML and js code to my current page. It seems that the javascript code is not properly parsing. For example, I''m using the following function showinfo() to return some html code. function showInfo(go_url){

comparing ajax.updater div in js
This is really bugging me no matter what I''m trying. In javascript, I''m using the ajax.updater, and it (obviously) writes back out to a div. I want to then compare what was echoed out into this div (which came from the php file I listed in ajax.updater) with a string. test should equal "SomeString" because that is what is being echoed out to

[Prototype] evalScripts not working for me
I think I am experiencing the variable scope problem with evalScripts. I have this block of code being returned from an Ajax.Updater call, as shown by FireBug or one of those other Firefox plugins. I have tried to boil it down to the minimum code. <script type="text/javascript"> test = function() { alert("test"); }; </script> <table

browser-crash with Ajax.Updater
Hi, on my page I start an ajax-request which returns rhtml-code (I use Rails) looping over some objects. When I place the following code within the loop my browser (FF) crashs: <script> var set_std_objekt = function (id) { new Ajax.Updater(''divname'', ''/dosomestuff'', { asynchronous:true, evalScripts:true }) } </script> <a

Running a script after evalScripts has completed
Hello, (I originally posted this on the Prototype-Core group by mistake, sorry) I am running a request via Ajax.Updater with evalScripts = true and an onComplete function. I find that my onComplete function executes before the script content has been evaluated. Looking through prototype.js (v. 1.5.1) this seems to be caused by the scripts being executed as part of this line (1352):
