Viewing all Properties and Methods?
Hello, How can I see all the properties (member variables) and methods (functions) that are available for an object? Is there a function similar to PHP''s var_dump in MySQL? Many thanks for your assistance. Frank --------------------------------- What are the most popular cars? Find out at Yahoo! Autos -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment

Print out session dump?
How can I go about printing out an object in Ruby? I''m looking for the print_r php equivalent. All I''m trying to do is print out session information. It is exactly what is shown in "Show session dump" when an exception is caught. Any ideas? Thanks. -- View this message in context: http://www.nabble.com/Print+out+session+dump--t1712872.html#a4651059 Sent from the

Variable dumper
Hi there, I am newbie both in Ruby and in Rails. My experience is mostly PHP. In PHP, there is a var_dump($mixed) function that dumps the object $mixed to std_out. This is helpful to see the curent value of a variable, of if it is an object, everything that is in the object. Is there an equivalent methods in RoR? Thanks, Ezra -- Posted via http://www.ruby-forum.com/.

mediaplayer for icecast streams?
Thank you, Ben! I was afraid it would be very complicated to get the information extracted, but it was very simple. My only problem now is to find a way to update the text on the webpage. I was hoping sleep(5) could do the trick, but it does not work. <?php if (1) { $jsonobj=file("http://radio.protestbandet.dk:8000/status-json.xsl"); //var_dump($jsonobj);

debugging
Hello- If I am in the middle of a method in an ActiveRecord object or a controller how can I just print something out to the screen and either keep going or exit immediately? If I am in a controller I can just generate some text and: render :text => "my debug output" But it would be nice to print something out to the output buffer and then continue on. Additionally, if I am inside

AD attibutes of the (in this case) member servers differences.
Hai,   Im setting up a new proxy with winbind en kerberos auth. So far everything ok but now im setting up my nfsv4 (with automount with systemd) for my user login on that server.   For the new setup i compaired my old proxy with my new proxy. I noticed the old proxy is missing some attibutes in the AD object.   For example, Samba member1 ( installed as 4.3.x ) upgraded to 4.5.3 here

metadata 2
Hoi folks, I don't like to post in newsletter because of several reason but sometimes it isn't evitable. I am setting up a internet-radio-show (exclusively live, including 2 video-streams) and I want to read out the audio-metadata of momentarily played tracks in realtime to compare it against a SQL-database. The aim is to fill up and/or update a table with 'most played'

Meaning of user.DOSATTRIB
OK, thanks, I've seen such an attribute correlation list elsewhere. So what does the 65 character string mean? user.DOSATTRIB=0sMHgyMAAAAwADAAAAEQAAACAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAPnD7jBHStABAAAAAAAAAAA= Obviously this isn't a bunch of 0x1's and 0x2s bit fields (or are they?). These attributes are from a file on the Redirected Folders directory hosted on the Samba4 AD/DC. I

Fwd: Re: Ressources needed (cpus, ram, etc.) for a Samba server
I see, yes the unix attributes are set on the AD DC (RFC2307) for each users and each groups. And that's a question, because I am using a Windows Server 2012 R2 as AD DC. Does the unix attibutes will be still available in the Windows Server 2019 version ? I don't talk about the ADUC and how to set unix attributes tab, I ask about the attributes on the AD schema because I know that NIS
