Prototype Ajax event handlers
I''ve been trying to use the prototype.js Ajax obect''s event handlers (onCreate, onComplete) inside the options tags as
below:
function updateCalendar(today, id){

{asynchronous: true,
onCreate: function(){ showBusy },

onCreate not getting triggered.
I am trying to get a loader to display during ajax requests, but the
"onCreate" is not getting triggered. The onComplete does.
function loadComponent(section){
values = arguments[1]
pars = $H(values).toQueryString()
pars = "section="+section+"&"+pars

RE: Prototype: correct useage of onComplete withAjax.PeriodicalUpdater

been stopped.
It looks like you need to pass your callback method as an ''insertion''
method in the options. This takes two parameters, the first will
probably be the

Prototype: correct useage of onComplete with Ajax.PeriodicalUpdater
Hello all,
I know it''s a Prototype question, but I hope someone can tell me what
I''m doing wrong (I hope Prototype gets documented soon ;-(
Problem: using a onComplete callback with Ajax.PeriodicalUpdater
(using scriptaculous 1.5 with Prototype 1.4)
Works:
function fooBar() {
Element.hide(''foobar'');

RE: Prototype: correct useage of onCompletewithAjax.PeriodicalUpdater
The only call that PeriodicalUpdater will make periodically to you is
the insertion call.
I think of onComplete as being ''I''ve done everything I was going to do'',
which for Updater is right after it''s done a single update, but for
PeriodicalUpdater, it''s after it''s finished all of its updates, so
you''ll only get it once for any call

In Sortables, we have a function onHover:
onHover: function(element, dropon, overlap) {
if(overlap>0.5) {
Sortable.mark(dropon, ''before'');
if(dropon.previousSibling != element) {
var oldParentNode = element.parentNode;
element.style.visibility = "hidden"; // fix gecko rendering

the onclick handler of an anchor inside the div I want the effect to

dynamically change frequency in periodicalUpdater
Hello All,
I''ve seen this topic but it seems no one has post a response. I''m
using periodicalUpdater to display live content queried from a
database. Sometimes the result can be thousands of rows and before it
finishes processing (displaying as a visual indicator) all the data,
the next request is sent to the server. I''d like to have a

cleanWhitespace and parentNode
Hey cats,
I seem to have ran into a problem in IE trying to use parentNode with
the cleanWhitespace method.
doing something like:
var div = $(''mydiv'');
Element.cleanWhitespace(div);
works really great, but try doing:
var div = $(''mydiv'');
Element.cleanWhitespace(div.parentNode);
or
var div = $(''mydiv'');
div = div.parentNode;

[PATCH server] Update app to work with rails 2.3.2
Note that this does not fix gettext for app,
that will be done separately in another patch
as F10/F11 require different setups for that.
In the meantime gettext works if manually changed
in environment.rb to gettext_rails instead of
gettext/rails
