Can SAMBA work with 2008 R2 Read Only Domain controller
Hello, ? We are planing to utilize Microsoft 2008 R2 Read Only Domain controller, and deploy RODC's in branches. ? If I would like to have SAMBA servers in those branches, will I be able to add them to the domain (using "net ads join") and work with them, when using the RODC's as domain controllers configured in my smb.conf & krb5.conf? ? I have looked around and did not

Winbind crash due to Kerberos broken implementation
Hello, I am working on RHEL 3 update 4. The Kerberos version that comes with the OS is 1.2.7. I have installed samba 3.0.14a and encountered multiple winbind crashes. I have done some debugging and found the cause, samba function "ads_cleanup_expired_creds" calls Kerberos function krb5_cc_remove_cred (if the ticket is expired), the Kerberos implementation holds a struct of function

RODC between samba v4 servers
I'm preparing a lab to test the scenario in which a remote office uses a RODC to cache all users/computers/GPOs from a DC. I've set up a environment with all requirements (two subnets, one with a DC and the other with a RODC). I've joined the domain with a windows machine to the RODC subnet with both DCs being up. Using the windows tools (DSA), I've placed a user account and the

samba 4 classicupgrade w7 clients errors
I had a test environment with a few hundreds of users using Windows 7 under a samba 3 domain. They had the registry tweaks required to join a samba 3 domain. I followed the classicupgrade migration to samba 4 and everything seemed to be ok. In my scenario I have a DNS server different from the samba server, and the DNS server forwards all queries to my samba domain to the samba server. The samba

Samba4 errors
Hello, We've been using samba v4 for a while, but recently we faced two problems for which we cannot determine the source - nor the solution: - every day samba4 stops authenticating new users and sharing folders. While previous logged users can access resources and services, users that weren't logged can't log in. It happens either from kerberos or directly from LDAP. - We are

Installing IMA (Integrity Measurement Architecture) on CentOS 5.5
I'm trying to install IMA (http://linux-ima.sourceforge.net/) on CentOS 5.5, but the shipped kernel does not support it. One solution is to install a 2.6.30 kernel, but I don't really like this idea. Does anybody has tried to install it? Regards, Andreas

Asterisk and iBasis
Hi, We are currently trying to setup Asterisk with iBasis. One question/problem we have is that Ibasis has told us to send the INVITEs to one IP address and all media to a different IP address. How can we do that in Asterisk? Thanks

need advise on protect base and priorities plugin
Hi, Is it not ok to use both plugins at the same time? I have read from the wiki page of centos that you must use only either protect base or priorities plugin. I have been using the the config file below for months and did not encounter any problems. I used priority=1 and protect=1 on base and updates (addons, extras protect=1 ; set no priorities) for the CentOS-Base repo and on the rpmforge

Is there a way to not use an explicit loop?
I have a problem in where i generate m independent draws from a binomial distribution, say draw1 = rbinom( m , size.a, prob.a ) then I need to use each draw to generate a beta distribution. So, like using a beta prior, binomial likelihood, and obtain beta posterior, m many times. I have not found out a way to vectorize draws from a beta distribution, so I have an explicit for loop
