Hi, This code: n=40 x=17 phat=x/n SE=sqrt(phat*(1-phat)/n) zstar=qnorm(0.995) E=zstar*SE phat+c(-E,E) Gives this result: [1] 0.2236668 0.6263332 The TI Graphing calculator gives the same result. plot matrix
Dear R users, I like to plot a matrix A which looks like this: ,1 ,2 ,3 ,4 1, 1 10 100 1000 2, 0.5 0.2 1.0 4.3 3, 0.1 0.2 0.3 0.5 ..... where the 1st row is representing the X-axis values. How to fix error: 'x' and 'y' lengths differ
Hi, im a student so still very new to R. Hope someone could help me out here =) They are 3 slug control products, bustaslug, product X and Y. Im ask to explore the data by plot() and tapply(). But when i try to plot or use the tapply command, it tells me that the x and y lengths differ. so im thinking its because the data is unbalanced? Is there a simple command that i could use to fix this?

'matplot' for matrix with NAs: broken lines
Hi list, I know that points involving NAs are not plotted in 'matplot', but when I plot them as lines, I still want the lines to connect all the points (i.e. not broken where there are NAs).? Can one set box line width within the matplot command?
Hello R users -- I am using matplot to prepare graphs and cannot find a way to use (for example) box(lwd=3) within the matplot command and instead have been setting the box line width after drawing the graph, by using box(lwd = 3). Hi, I apologise in advance for the na?ve question. I have large matrices that I want to plot. I currently use color2D.matplot. However, these matrices contain many values of no interest (i.e. where there is no data, the figure -999 is automatically displayed).
