OCFS2 volumes do no mount automatically on RHEL4 also
On RHEL4 also, the service o2cb starts later than _netdev device mounts. So mount fails. Should the o2cb service start earlier to fix this? Hello, We just experienced a hang that looks superficially very similar to http://www.mail-archive.com/ocfs2-users at oss.oracle.com/msg02359.html There are 3 nodes in the cluster ocfs2-1.4.1 rhel 5.2. Versions, uname's in the attached text file which also includes fs_locks dumps and various other diagnostics. The lock up happened when we were restarting a java application that was

Hi all, I have storages over two locations and use RedHat Linux 4 and 5 as OS. I want to distribute my data over these two locations. With ASM and LVM you can mirror your data over two disks. Can I also mirror my data with OSFS2 and if yes how can I do that? Best regards Arnold Weghorst Database beheerder Justiti?le Informatiedienst Tel. (0546) 83 41 00 Fax. (0546) 82 43 05

[Patch] We resolve the throughput drop problemwhe nr eading filesin OCFS2 volume in the patch "ocfs2-truncate-pages-1.patch"a gainstsvn 1226.
We are also thinking about locking for each read/write, but would its = overhead be too high? We have another idea that is extending the function of flock, lockf, = fcntl to distributed. So any application that need strict data consistent can do a lock = operation on the whole or part of the file. For ordinary application, maybe the current logic is enough. How about it? >-----Original

ocfs2 + drbd primary/primary "No space left on device"
Hello. I'm having issues using ocfs2 and drbd in dual primary mode. After running some filesystem test's that create a lot of small files I run really fast into "No space left on device" The non failing node is able to write/read from the filesystem. And the failing node is also able to delete/read from the filesystem Ubuntu custom kernel 2.6.27.2 o2cb_ctl version 1.3.9 drbd

Fail to create OCFS volumn on the hard disk via a QLA2312 fiberchannel card.
/dev/rawctl is part of the "raw block device" driver interface. You need to turn on the raw device driver option (CONFIG_RAW_DRIVER) in your kernel build. I have always created a new file system from my 2.4 kernel (that has all possible modules built and properly configured to load when needed), so I don't know for sure if mkfs.ocfs will work correctly after turning on the raw
