[PATCH 1/1] OCFS2: fix for nfs getting stale inode.
Ocfs2 supports exporting. PROBLEM: There are 2 problems (1) Current version of ocfs2_get_dentry() may read from disk the inode WITHOUT any cross cluster lock. This may lead to load a stale inode. (2) for deleting an inode, ocfs2_remove_inode() doesn't sync/checkpoint to disk. This also may lead ocfs2_get_dentry() from other node read out stale inode. PROBLEM DETAIL: for problem (1), For

Handling of X-Status flags
Hi all, I've done a bit of searching and haven't seen anybody else coming across this problem yet: I noticed that Dovecot uses the opposite flags for marking messages as deleted and draft to most other MUAs I've seen or used: With PINE, mutt and uw-imapd at least, messages are marked with X-Status 'D' for Deleted, and 'T' for drafT. Dovecot reverses this behaviour,

Anything I'm missing for 2.6.31?
Hey everyone, We're coming up on the next merge window, and I only have a couple tiny fixes for ocfs2. I thought I'd list up what I know is outstanding, and I was hoping to find out if I was missing anything. If I am, I need to get it in linux-next and set for the merge window ASAP. - metaecc-stats This is a trivial patch I put together to track errors seen by the blockcheck code.

[PATCH 0/7] OCFS2 locking fixes and lockdep annotations
Hi, the first four patches in this series fix locking problems in OCFS2 quota code (three of them can lead to potential deadlocks). The fifth patch reorders ip_alloc_sem for directories to be acquired before localalloc locks. Mark would you please merge these? The last two patches implement lockdep annotations for OCFS2 cluster locks. We annotate all the cluster locks except for special ones

[PATCH 1/2] nv30-nv40: Rewrite primitive splitting and emission
The current code for primitive splitting and emission on pre-nv50 is severely broken. In particular: 1. Quads and lines are totally broken because "&= 3" should be "&= ~3" and similar for lines 2. Triangle fans and polygons are broken because the first vertex must be repeated for each split chunk 3. Line loops are broken because the must be converted to a line strip,

[PATCH 0/7] [RESEND] Fix some deadlocks in quota code and implement lockdep for cluster locks
Hi, I'm resending this patch series. It's rediffed against linux-next branch of Joel's git tree. The first four patches are obvious fixes of deadlocks in quota code and should go in as soon as possible. The other three patches implement lockdep support for OCFS2 cluster locks. So you can have a look whether the code make sence to you and possibly merge them. They should be NOP when

[PATCH 0/3] ocfs2: Switch over to JBD2.
ocfs2 currently uses the Journaled Block Device (JBD) for its journaling. This is a very stable and tested codebase. However, JBD is limited by architecture to 32bit block numbers. This means an ocfs2 filesystem is limited to 2^32 blocks. With a 4K blocksize, that's 16TB. People want larger volumes. Fortunately, there is now JBD2. JBD2 adds 64bit block number support and some other

[PATCH 1/1] OCFS2: anti stale inode for nfs (V6)
For nfs exporting, ocfs2_get_dentry() returns the dentry for fh. ocfs2_get_dentry() may read from disk(when inode not in memory) without any cross cluster lock. this leads to load a stale inode. this patch fixes above problem. solution is that in case of inode is not in memory, we get the cluster lock(PR) of alloc inode where the inode in question is allocated from(this causes node on which

[git patches] Ocfs2 patches for merge window, batch 2/3
Hi, This is the second batch of Ocfs2 patches intended for the merge window. The 1st batch were sent out previously: http://lkml.org/lkml/2008/12/19/280 The bulk of this set is comprised of Jan Kara's patches to add quota support to Ocfs2. Many of the quota patches are to generic code, which I carried to make merging of the Ocfs2 support easier. All of the non-ocfs2 patches should have

[PATCH 00/11] Btrfs: some patches for 3.3

The patchset is also available in this repo: git://repo.or.cz/linux-btrfs-devel.git for-chris Note there''s a small confict with Al Viro''s vfs changes. Li Zefan (11): Btrfs: add pinned extents to

[PATCH 0/9] remove i_alloc_sem V2
i_alloc_sem has always been a bit of an odd "lock". It''s the only remaining rw_semaphore that can be released by a different thread than the one that locked it, and it''s use case in the core direct I/O code is more like a counter given that the writers already have external serialization. This series removes it in favour of a simpler counter scheme, thus getting rid
