Ether setup
Hello everyone. This is my first time attempting to use Xen and I am having some problems. I am trying to build a Xen system so that I can use the Ether program for malware analysis (http://ether.gtisc.gatech.edu/source.html).
I''ve installed Debian 6, and downloaded the Xen 3.1.0 source. However when I try to compile the source using "make world" I receive the following errors:

Unable to get dummy interfaces to persist across reboots in CentOS 8
Anyone have any ideas? It's rather annoying that I can't get these to
persist across reboots without using some kind of helper script.

Unable to get dummy interfaces to persist across reboots in CentOS 8
Hello all, hoping someone can help me out here.
I cannot get dummy interfaces on a new Cent8 build to persist across reboots.
On Cent7 - this is the process I use:
Create Dummies:
# cat /etc/modules-load.d/dummy.conf
dummy
# cat /etc/modprobe.d/dummyopts.conf
options dummy numdummies=4
# ip link add dummy0 type dummy
## - repeating a/ ascending dummyN adapters for as many needed
# service

Have you tried to use NetworkManager ?
After all ,anything network related should be done by it.
[root at system ~]# nmcli connection add con-name dummy0 ifname dummy0 type dummy ?
Connection 'dummy0' (9fdd74fa-c143-4991-9bac-0e542704ac89) successfully added.
[root at system ~]# reboot
Shared connection to glustera closed.

9.1 minimal ram requirements
Guys, I've heard about some absurd RAM requirements
for 9.1, has anybody tested it?

No. Network Manager is always disabled on our builds since at least
Cent5 days. The network stack has always been able to be managed
properly without relying on Network Manager. Is that now an absolute
requirement? It never has been prior.

Requirement is a very strong word , but you should consider using it and here is a short demo why:
- By default, RHEL uses NetworkManager to configure and manage network connections, and the /usr/sbin/ifup and /usr/sbin/ifdown scripts use NetworkManager to process ifcfg files in the /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ directory.
[root at system ~]# ls -l /usr/sbin/ifup

Release 0.9.0 of GPL PV Drivers for Windows
I''ve just put up the latest release of the GPLPV drivers for Windows.
This release involved a fairly big rewrite of the stuff that talks to
Windows as I changed from WDF to WDM. WDF is a newer framework from
Microsoft which makes it easier to write drivers as a lot of the state
management stuff is done for you. It also means shipping a great big dll

Samba Domain authentication and shares
Hello,
I have been able to use Samba to join our Win2003 domain. I have also
setup folders and permissions in the smb.conf file. I can browser to the
Samba Shares 2 ways, thru network neighborhood and by UNC/ip address.
Both of these methods prompt me for login which is not successful. I
assumed that if I userA had permissions to a folder in the smb.conf file
that Windows userA would e able to

samba 3.0.2a & Win2003 AD controler
Hello samba experts !
I have a big problem with my samba 3.0.2a on debian. I use winbindd, which
seems to work (getent passwd/group and wbinfo -u works), and the net ads
join worked too, but the authentication with the AD controler, hosted on
Win2003 Server, fails.

Bridging on the blink with greater than 2 xen domains
Hi,
My bridging stops when I start a third Xen domain !?!?
I have a few domains setup (mail, wiki, pbx). If I start two domains
bridge networking works great. But if I start a third, either the new
domains does not work or one of the other DomUs stops working! By
stop working I mean I can''t route traffic outside of Dom0. I have
been looking at this on and off for a couple of weeks.

Insert raster image into an R graphic
Dear useRs:
Is there a way to include a raster image (e.g., .gif, .jpg, .bmp) representing
a company logo, a school logo, etc. into an R graphic? For example, it would be
nice to be able to include the logo of the school into the charts that a
student produces for her dissertation. Similarly, while working on a
competitive analysis, it would be nice to be able to replace the names of the
