Xen 3.3.1 on CentOS 5.2 - networking problem with bond
Hi, I'm new to the list and new to Xen, so please be gentle with me! ;-) I've got a CentOS 5.2 x86_64 machine with two interfaces (eth0 and eth1 unsurprisingly) bonded into bond0 in mode 4, and a Cisco switch set up with LACP to suit. I didn't select Xen at install time as I wanted to install Xen 3.3.1 from the gitco repo. After installing and yum updating, I added the gitco repo

Centos 5.7 Xen 4.1 AMD 64 from gitco cannot attach usb port to domU windows 7
Hi. Just wondering is someone have been able to connect usb memory sticks in xen 4.1-gitco running hvm windows 7? I use xen 4.1 from gitco, is working without any issue, I need support for a usb memory stick, but I had not been able to make this works. Reading xm commands and process, first my MB Biostar A780L3L v6 wont support IOMMU. Now exist a doc from xen wiki from someone from Fujitso

CentOS 5.4 64bit default Xen install won''t start, garbled boot screen
Hi everyone Ok this is really strange. I''ve been messing around with Xen for the past few weeks on a 32bit test machine and CentOS 5.4 and it''s been working fine. Today I went into the office on a Sunday to install Xen on our server but I had a major problem. The server is a home-build with a Tyan s5211 motherboard with an Intel i3210w chipset CentOS 5.4 64bit installed and

Xen3.3 rpm for 32Bit?
Hi folks, I would like to test Xen3.3 on CentOS 5.5 on an older machine which is not 64bit capable. Since this is just a "first impression" test I do not want to fuzz with compiling the kernels and tools myself (that comes in a later step). Can someone please point me to a repo with 32bit Xen3.3 kernels for CentOS 5? GITCO supplies 64bit kernels only, and googling brought up

Xen version
Hi, We are thinking of using CentOS with XEN in production, but we are facing some issues regarding the 3.0.3 version of the xen hypervisor and windows paravirtualization. The drivers we are using are from here ( http://wiki.xensource.com/xenwiki/XenWindowsGplPv). The solution we found is upgrading to xen 3.4.2, using a strange repository (gitco.de), and everything seems to work. Now the question

82574L PCI Express NIC in Xen
The gigabit NIC on my mainboard died, and I am currently running on a PCI 10/100 nic. I want to get a gigabit NIC installed as soon as possible, preferably a PCI-Express one, but I am not sure what will and won''t work with the native xen kernel, and I don''t really want to custom build my own kernel because I have yet to successfully compile a xen kernels in spite of the fact

xentop batch mode
Hi guys, First of all, sorry to send this one here on the centos ml. I know it's kind of off-topic, but the xen-users list seems a dead end, I was hoping some of you guys are experienced in this. I have a problem with a xen 3.4.2 on Centos 5 x86_64 installation, I need to see the total/used/available memory of dom0 when using xentop, however in batch mode it doesn't seem to work. If I use

Problem creating VM: "tap: not a valid disk type"
Hi, I am having problems creating VMs in virt-manager. I have played with different xen hypervisor versions 3.0 & 3.4 (with rpm -i --force) but have in principle gone back to the originals. - Though I cannot absolutely exclude that something has gone wrong. In principle I am using rhel 5.4 with the gitco xen 3.4 hypervisor. Can anybody put me on the right track with the attached error

Asus 990FX chip xen iommu not found?
Hi. I got a asus SABERTOOTH 990FX, reading about vt-d, I read the MoBo that support IOMMU and there was chip 990FX, them I pick this MoBo, the BIOS that came with the board was 0402 05/11. I follow the xen wiki, I''m running Xen 4.1.1 from Gitco on Centos 5.7 x64, by default the MoBo have the IOMMU disable, I enable the feature IOMMU = 64MB, save the bios settings, restart, turn off

Networking: two dynamic IPs
Hello. My host is CentOS 5.3 and Xen is v3.2 (from RPMs provided from Gitco). One of my DomUs is Trixbox that has been having some intermittent issues that I believe are due to it being behind my firewall (which is a Linksys router). My ISP gives me two dynamic IPs, so I would like to put my Trixbox DomU on this second dynamic IP. The Trixbox DomU is an HVM DomU. What is the best way to do
