Xen EFI boot how to?
I have a IBM System x3600 series server with UEFI.
I managed to compile the xen EFI (xen-4.2-unstable.efi).
The machine is currently running Ubuntu with grub2.
I can see a grubx64.efi in /boot/efi/EFI/ubuntu/grubx64.efi
Where should I put the xen efi ?
I tried creating a efi/EFI/xen/xen-4.2-unstable.efi and added it as a boot option using efibootmgr.
All I get in that case is a blank screen.
I

[PATCH 0/4] Add SUSE guest converter to virt-v2v
This is a new conversion module to convert SUSE Linux and openSUSE guests.
The converter is based on the RedHat module, and should offer the same
functionality on both SUSE and RedHat hosts.
There are a few additional messages in this module, such as reporting of
packages when installing through zypper or the local virt-v2v repo. These
messages don't necessarily flow unless verbose switches

Para_virtualised Kernel for running XEN-3.2 on Thamesblue Supercomputer
Hi,
We are trying to setup XEN testbed on Thamesblue supercomputer which has IBM
JS2X blade servers. I know that XEN 3.2 was the last release which supports
PowerPC. We want to give it a try now. We are running SLES 10.2 and Gentoo
on these blades. Can anyone please tell me which Pv_ops kernel should I use
for setting up XEN 3.2 on powerpc?
Thanks.
Best Regards, Hassan

locate would require to install that package and run updatedb

Hyper-V v2v
Hi list,
What is the best method to migrate Hyper-V 2012 VM to oVirt/RHEV ? I
made a v2v livecd, but it never load consoles and never launch p2v
service (works well with BIOS VM or hardware, but G2 HyperV VM needs EFI
to boot).
I must add some packages on my system to build an EL7 (kmod-hfsplus from
elrepo) and some other to boot on EFI :
#boot EFI
grub2
grub2-efi
grub2-efi-modules

GRUB 2 dumps to grub prompt when installed on >4TB disk
Hi All,
I have a Dell R710 that has 6x1TB in a RAID-5 configuration. When installing CentOS 7 using the full disk capacity and booting in UEFI mode the machine dumps me into a GRUB rescue mode prompt.
error: disk `,gpt2' not found

Help finishing off Centos 7 RAID install
I've just finished installing a new Bacula storeage server. Prior to doing the
install I did some research and ended up deciding to do the following
config.
6x4TB drives
/boot/efi efi_fs sda1
/boot/efi_copy efi_fs sdb1
/boot xfs RAID1 sda2 sdb2
VG RAID6 all drives containing
SWAP

/var/bacula
Questions:
1) The big problem with this is that it is dependant on sda for

Secure boot
After updates to grub2 and kernel in CentOS 7, today, systems will no
longer boot in Secure Boot mode. I'm not positive, but I think grub2 is
the culprit.
Is anyone else seeing the same problem?

UEFI and PXE
We have a working PXE setup. I've tried to adapt it to UEFI as per
RHEL6 manual, but the client won't boot.
Strangely, tcpdump shows that the client tries to download all files via
tftp from the dhcp server rather than the tftp server (they are
different). next-server is pointing to the tftp server.
Any clues?

Running this on computers with UEFI firmware is not good advice, it's
an obsolete command. People should use the prebaked grubx64.efi binary
that comes in the grub2-efi package, and is a signed binary so it can
support UEFI Secure Boot.
If you run grub2-install, a
