Possible hint for "Clocksource tsc unstable" problem
Hello, I made an interesting observation related to the "Clocksource tsc unstable (delta = -2999660320319 ns)" problem. In the log of ntpd I found: Oct 5 03:46:35 greenville-dom0 ntpd[4020]: kernel time sync status change 6001 Oct 5 04:03:41 greenville-dom0 ntpd[4020]: kernel time sync status change 2001 Oct 5 05:29:03 greenville-dom0 ntpd[4020]: kernel time sync status change

Hello, I''ve got several kernel panic on a domU under network activity (multiple rsync using rsh). I didn''t manage to reproduce it manually, but it happened 5times during the last month. Each time, it is the same kernel trace. I am using Debian 5.0.8 with kernel/hypervisor : ii linux-image-2.6.32-bpo.5-amd64 2.6.32-30~bpo50+1 Linux 2.6.32 for 64-bit PCs ii

Fix for vblank on nvc0
The vblank on nvc0 was not working correctly and would freeze X, I managed to track it down and fix it with some help from m.b.lankhorst, see https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=56692 for details. -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... kernel BUG at fs/btrfs/extent_io.c:4052 (kernel 3.5.3)
Hi all, Last week we had 2 times an "uncorrectable ecc memory error" crash on our server on the same memory module. After removing the faulty module and restarting the server, everything was working again. However, yesterday we had a soft lockup and had to restart the server again. No warning or ecc error this time. Everything is working now, but we want to avoid this in the future

[PATCH] x86/pvclock-xen: zero last_value on resume
If the guest domain has been suspend/resumed or migrated, then the system clock backing the pvclock clocksource may revert to a smaller value (ie, can be non-monotonic across the migration/save-restore). Make sure we zero last_value in that case so that the domain continues to see clock updates. [ I don't know if kvm needs an analogous fix or not. ] Signed-off-by: Jeremy Fitzhardinge

Trouble Printing from Win2K machine to Linux Box running RH8.0
Good evening: I am running RedHat Linux 8.0 on a box that has my Epson Stylus Color 777 printer attached to it. The printer works fine from all applications on my Linux box using a driver I picked up from TurboPrint. I have downloaded and installed Samba 2.7.2 and am trying to print from a Windows 2000 box to this Linux machine. The problem is that when I print, the document seems to queue up

Alias analysis only throwing mayAlias for something that seems should be identifiable as mustAlias
I have a global 2-D array ARRAY[N][M] and I am accessing it inside the for loop like this: for (i...) for (j ...) ARRAY[i][j] ... So nothing really weird is happening. If I look at the generated IR, it is also fairly straight forward. @ARRAY0 = dso_local global [32 x [32 x i32]] zeroinitializer, section ".slow_mem", align 32, !dbg !84 ... %45 = getelementptr inbounds [32 x [32 x

(XEN) Platform timer appears to have unexpectedly wrapped 10 or more times.
Hi, Sometimes, seemingly randomly, long-running Xen domains, using clocksource xen, have their clock shift by ~3000 or ~36000 seconds, often with the dom0 complaining about clocksource tsc. The number changes if the hypervisor is explicitly told to use clocksource=pit, but it still happens. It doesn''t seem to be particularly hardware-specific. See also http://bugs.debian.org/599161 I

Debian/squeeze: domU live migraton hangs
Hi, In view of the problems I was having with DomU network timeout after a live migration (I posted that problems here a while ago but never got anything except from private emails) I finally updated my Debian/Squeeze Dom0s last night to a new kernel, from 2.6.32-23 to 2.6.32-26. Now live migration just hangs...Any ideas? Xen-related Debian packages (all from Debian repositary, except drbd

e1071::skewness and psych::skew return NaN
Hello everyone, Does anyone know what would cause the skewness() function (from e1071), as well as skew() from psych, to return a value of NaN? I have a vector of positively-skewed data (https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B6-m45Jvl3ZmYzlHRVRHRURzbVk/edit?usp=sharing) which these functions return a value for like normal: > skewness( data ) # returns 1.400405 but when I instead give those

About the Skew Student distribution
Hello everybody, I need your help about the package SN and the skew student distribution. Il will be very grateful if I have the solution. I construct a stochastic model with a white noise not gaussian but following a skew student distribution. I fit the noise on monthly data to obtain the four parameters. The question is : how to annualize the parameters to use my model for simulate daily data

kinit clock skew issue from same machine as krb server
I've been running Samba 4x on FreeBSD successfully for years with a single Active Directory domain controller but have recently added a second domain controller. The setup worked great for a few days but suddenly developed a series of permission-denied style errors and UID mapping errors on the new/second DC2 which I've been slowly working through. My current issue which I've been
