[PATCH] blktap2: fix makefile of vhd for parallel make
blktap2: fix makefile of vhd for parallel make
With parallel make, libvhd might not be created before
link resulting in link error. This patch guarantees it.

A fair few things under tools link against libraries which they don''t
even use.
Most of this appears to come from copy-and-pasting previous Makefile

crash in using Rcpp and inline packages.
Hi all,
I am using c++ functions in R by Rcpp and inline packages.
The code is quite simple, but the R session always automatically crash after some running time.
Does anyone here familiar with Rcpp and inline? What¡¯s the problem in the following code?
I have checked the input values, no NA and other strange value exists.
Thank you for your attention!

Any interest in "merge" and "by" implementations specifically for sorted data?
Hi Developers,
I am looking for another new project to help me get more up to speed
on R and to learn something outside of R internals. One recent R
issue I have run into is finding a fast implementations of the
equivalent to the following SAS code:
/* MDPC is an integer sort key made from two integer columns */
MDPC = (MD * 100000) + PCO;
/* sort the dataset by the key */
PROC SORT;

[PATCH 0 of 2 RESEND] tools: add two new compile flags and perform checks on user defined folders.
Added two new sets of compile flags, and pass them to the check scripts, so libraries and includes are searched there also.
Resend this patches because they suffered some modifications and where scattered along the mailing list.
Please review, thanks Roger.

[PATCH 0 of 7 v5] Introduce the tapback daemon (most of blkback in user-space)
This patch series introduces the tapback daemon, the user space daemon that
acts as a device''s back-end, essentially most of blkback in user space. The
daemon is responsible for coordinating the front-end and tapdisk. It creates
tapdisk process as needed, instructs them to connect to/disconnect from the
shared ring, and manages the state of the back-end.
The shared ring between the

Make/Build Error on armhf
Hi,
I noticed the same, actually with many more shared libraries. It already
has been filed as bug https://bugzilla.samba.org/show_bug.cgi?id=13754
with version 4.10.0rc4 .
Looking at what actually happens in detail no exotic build options are
used so at first sight it looks more like a problem of the build tools
on the RPi than a Samba problem.
The simplest situation I could find was

Livelock induced failure in blktap2.
We''ve been working on getting XEN 4.1.2 validated for internal use and
have run into what appears to be a livelock induced failure in
properly freeing a blktap2 device.
We ported the blktap2 driver from Dan Stodden''s GIT tree into 3.2.x
which is a reasonably straight forward process. We are also running
the toolchain with a patch which Ian Campbell posted in order to get

How to configure so as to use the blktap/blktap2 module in XEN
Hi,mail list members,
As needed by my test, blktap/blktap2 modules have to work after new VMs start.Maybe the line about disk in the vm creation configure file is the right position where I should be supposed to specify the function of blktap/blktap2 modules. But specifically I don''t know how to configure the disk line.Who can help me?

Mounting filesystems with blktap2
For those wanting to know how to mount filesystems through blktap2
here is how you do it, as I couldn''t find it fully documented.
The instructions on the blktap2 readme file are rather out of date.
You can mount them under Dom0 like so.
e.g. to mount a vhd file,
sudo xm block-attach 0 tap2:vhd:/home/xen/xenwin7-persist.vhd xvdb w 0
Now the device should appear under /dev
