[PATCH] xen/pvhvm: If xen_platform_pci=0 is set don''t blow up.
The user has the option of disabling the platform driver: 00:02.0 Unassigned class [ff80]: XenSource, Inc. Xen Platform Device (rev 01) which is used to unplug the emulated drivers (IDE, Realtek 8169, etc) and allow the PV drivers to take over. If the user wishes to disable that they can set: xen_platform_pci=0 (in the guest config file) or xen_emul_unplug=never (on the Linux command

[PATCH] xen: initialize platform_pci even if xen_emul_unplug=never
When xen_emul_unplug=never is specified on kernel command line reading files from /sys/hypervisor is broken (returns -EBUSY). It is caused by xen_bus dependency on platform_pci and platform_pci isn''t initialized when xen_emul_unplug=never is specified. Fix it by allowing platform_pcii to ignore xen_emul_unplug=never, and do not intialize xen_[blk|net]front instead. Signed-off-by: Igor

xen_emul_unplug on xen 4.1, HVM guest 2.6.38
I am running Xen 4 and want users to be able to install arbitrary HVM images. We want both PV and emulated drivers to appear. The reason for this is for compatibility with images that were prepared for Xen 3.3, which assume emulated devices exist at boot time (particularly for running the boot loader). If I do not specify on the boot line xen_emul_unplug=never, then under some guest OS''s

[GIT PULL] (xen) stable/for-linus-3.13-rc0-tag
Hey Linus, Please git pull the following tag: git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/xen/tip.git stable/for-linus-3.13-rc0-tag which has tons of fixes and two major features which are concentrated around the Xen SWIOTLB library. The short <blurb> is that the tracing facility (just one function) has been added to SWIOTLB to make it easier to track I/O progress. Additionally under

[GIT PULL) xen (stable/for-linus-3.10-rc0-tag) for v3.10 merge window.
Hey Linus, I am heading out for a week of vacation but would hate to have missed the merge window. Hence sending it out early in anticipation that you will release v3.9 on Sunday. With that said, please git pull the following tag: git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/konrad/xen.git stable/for-linus-3.10-rc0-tag which has just a couple of features and mostly bug-fixes. Centos 5.1, mythtv, saa7134_dvb?
I'm trying to set up my Centos 5.1 box at home to run mythtv. The DVB-T card requires saa7134 and saa7134_dvb. These are not in the Centos kernels. Centosplus has saa7134, but not saa7134_dvb. Do I have to compile the kernel myself, or is there a trick? Mogens -- Mogens Kjaer, Carlsberg A/S, Computer Department Gamle Carlsberg Vej 10, DK-2500 Valby, Denmark Phone: +45 33 27 53 25, Fax:

Recently had passthrough of 2xPCI DVB-T cards and 1xPCIe DVB-S2 card working, the last know config that was *certainly* working was dom0 xen-4.1.1-3.fc16.x86_64 kernel-3.1.0-0.rc7.git0.0.fc16.x86_64 domU kernel-3.1.0-0.rc8.git0.0.fc16.x86_64 Since then I''ve updated xen-4.1.1-6.fc16.x86_64 on dom0 kernel-3.1.0-0.rc9.git0.0.fc16.x86_64 on dom0 and domU and updated all other packages

Time for 4.2.0 rc0?
Hey Keir, I committed the last of the big outstanding tools blockers for 4.2 yesterday. Currently they are still in staging because they added some new xenstore paths which tickled the leak detector in the test system What do you think of doing an rc0 release next week? There''s still some smaller issues remaining but I think they can wait until rc1. Ian.

[RFC 00/14] arm: implement ballooning and privcmd foreign mappings based on x86 PVH
This series implements ballooning for Xen on ARM and builds and Mukesh''s PVH privcmd stuff to implement foreign page mapping on ARM, replacing the old "HACK: initial (very hacky) XENMAPSPACE_gmfn_foreign" patch. The baseline is a bit complex, it is basically Stefano''s xenarm-forlinus branch (commit bbd6eb29214e) merged with Konrad''s linux-next-pvh branch

nouveau: System crashes with NVIDIA GeForce 8600 GT
Hi all, I'm getting frequent system crashes (every few hours or so) and it seems that the nouveau driver is causing the issue (dmesg output below). I see it with both v5.2.8 and the v4.19 LTS kernel. Sometimes the system completely freezes and sometimes seemingly just the nouveau driver goes down. The screen freezes and colours stream across it. Often after I reboot the BIOS logo is mangled
