pv-grub will cause page fault if build with flag -fstack-protector
Hi, List, In checking the page fault problem when using pv-grub to start domU in opensuse12.3[1], found that the problem is caused by ''-fstack-protector'' flag which is introduced in rpm build: export EXTRA_CFLAGS_XEN_TOOLS="$RPM_OPT_FLAGS" export EXTRA_CFLAGS_QEMU_TRADITIONAL="$RPM_OPT_FLAGS" export EXTRA_CFLAGS_QEMU_XEN="$RPM_OPT_FLAGS" with

[PATCH 0 of 2 RESEND] tools: add two new compile flags and perform checks on user defined folders.
Added two new sets of compile flags, and pass them to the check scripts, so libraries and includes are searched there also. Resend this patches because they suffered some modifications and where scattered along the mailing list. Please review, thanks Roger. _______________________________________________ Xen-devel mailing list Xen-devel@lists.xensource.com http://lists.xensource.com/xen-devel

Ubuntu delta against 4.5.0-1 in experimental for disussion
Hi, I just finished preparing the Xen-4.5 merge from experimental into our next release (Vivid/15.04). And something I actually should have done since the 4.4 times is to report back the delta I have in case there are things Debian might want to pick up as well. So below is the commented debdiff between the 4.5.0-1 in experimental and the Ubuntu version I prepared so far (only compile tested on

problems getting xen going on FC4
I am tasked with installing xen on a FC4 machine. I went ahead and followed the fedora xen howto, however when I rebootrd into the dom0 kernel I would get a page full of hda: lost interrupt followed by a blank screen. I then decided to remove all that and go with a xen-testing from source build. Now when I do "make tools" in the -testing directory I get: [...] In file included from

loop searching the id corresponding to the given index (timestamp)
Hello, I have the following loop for two data sets: diveData_2008 and diveData_2009. It uses two other data: diveCond_all and fishTable. The problem is at the point to identify the dive_id for the given index (index is timestamp). It keeps on saying for the1st loop Error in fishReport$dive_id[i] <- dive_id : replacement has length zero for the 2nd loop Error in fishReport$dive_id[i + j] <-

[PATCH 00/12] Bunch of patches for cross-compilatio + RP4
Initially out there as #965245. I strongly prefer to build ARM64 packages on non-ARM systems. Something about my main build machine having twice the cores and twice the clock speed. As such after many builds I've managed to generate a set of patches which appear to mostly function to get functioning cross-builds of Xen. These are NOT a 100% solution. Some packaging hacks were needed. In
