Current Debian unstable has a broken libm?
I made the mistake of upgrading my primary development machine last night... The libc/libm in the current debian appear to be somewhat broken. Compiling with -O2 and linking aginst libc/m 2.1.2 yields a broken executable; it appears that calls to libm (specifically log() and fabs()) with a perfectly valid input argument result in a garbage return. I don't know for certain what part of

[PATCH 2/2] Only link against libogg (and libm) if needed
Most of the programs don't use libogg or libm directly and should not link to them (overlinking). --- examples/c/decode/file/Makefile.am | 4 +--- src/flac/Makefile.am | 1 - src/metaflac/Makefile.am | 4 +--- src/plugin_xmms/Makefile.am | 1 - src/test_grabbag/cuesheet/Makefile.am | 4 +--- src/test_grabbag/picture/Makefile.am | 4

llvm intrinsics/libc/libm question
Tim, Are you referring to setLibcallName? That is target specific yes but there isn't RTLIB for most of the libm functions, for example, for acos this doesn't apply. Ideally what I would like is to create a libc with functions like acos called something like __xxx_acos that can still be recognized to be optimized. RTLIB is pretty limited but it works fine, I can just use

Since MCJIT I can't get libm functions to work
Hi Alex, loading the symbols explicitly helped. With this the build process doesn't need any additional linker flags. Very nice. Since MCJIT I can't get libm functions to work
I am upgrading our JIT application to use LLVM 6.0.0, and with this transition I am making the move to use the new MCJIT facility. A problem I am encountering is that the math functions from libm are not resolved/found. I am using the lambda resolver from the KaleidoscopeJIT class which first searches the present modules and, if that is unsuccessful, continues the search in the whole process

llvm intrinsics/libc/libm question
In the first code I see a 'tail call @acos', in the second code I see a tail call @llvm.acos.f32'. (sorry, there should be only one input for acos, I've been trying many libm/libc functions). Not sure why it's called TargetLibraryInfo if it's not in target specific code? It seems that ALL targets use this code, making it generic. Am I missing something here? Basically

llvm intrinsics/libc/libm question
I'm trying to figure out exactly how the intrinsics/libc/libm work in llvm. For example, this code return user defined function: float acos(float x, float y) { return x+y; } float a; void foo(float b, float c) { a = acos(b, c); } But this code returns llvm.intrinsic: float acos(float, float); float a; void foo(float b, float c) { a = acos(b, c); } float acos(float x, float y) {

llvm intrinsics/libc/libm question
If I do T.getArch() == xxx TLI.setUnavailable(LibFunc::copysign) then this works at generating a call instead of not being able to select the ISD::FCOPYSIGN, but I don't know why I don't need to do this for other LibFunc functions (such as floor, etc... these generate call just fine)? [PATCH BUILD FIX 0/2] build xc_hvm_inject_msi on Xen < 4.2
Hi all, this small patch series fixes the build breakage introduced by f1dbf015dfb0aa7f66f710a1f1bc58b662951de2 with Xen < 4.2. The problem is that xc_hvm_inject_msi is only defined from Xen 4.2 onwards so we need to provide a compatibility function for older Xen versions. Stefano Stabellini (2): xen, configure: detect Xen 4.2 xen: add a dummy xc_hvm_inject_msi for Xen < 4.2

[PATCH v3] Fix the mistake of exception execution
Fix the mistake for debug exception(#DB), overflow exception(#OF; generated by INTO) and int 3(#BP) instruction emulation. For INTn (CD ib), it should use type 4 (software interrupt). For INT3 (CC; NOT CD ib with ib=3) and INTO (CE; NOT CD ib with ib=4), it should use type 6 (software exception). For other exceptions (#DE, #DB, #BR, #UD, #NM, #TS, #NP, #SS, #GP, #PF, #MF, #AC, #MC, and #XM), it

Correspondence and detrended correspondence analysis
Hi, I hope someone knows the answer to this or has a real good reference about it (I am using Legendre & Legendre, Numerical Ecology, 1998).... My data is a data.frame with locations as rows and vegetation assemblages / species as columns. I've done a PCA, a correspondance analysis (CA) using ca in ca package and a detrended correspondance analysis (DCA) using decorana from vegan package.

[PATCH 00/15] RFC xen device model support
Hi all, this is the long awaited patch series to add xen device model support in qemu; the main author is Anthony Perard. Developing this series we tried to come up with the cleanest possible solution from the qemu point of view, limiting the amount of changes to common code as much as possible. The end result still requires a couple of hooks in piix_pci but overall the impact should be very
