kernel density estimation for univariate data using splancs
Hi,
I previously received help in extract data from a shapefile and now my question is about kernel density estimation. My objective is to have 3 kernel density plots; 2 for the each set of cases and the 3rd is the difference in kernel densities between the 2 sets of cases. Previously, I used the density function from the stats package, which worked but I wanted finer control of the bandwidth.

[PATCH] drm/nv50/disp: use correct register to determine DP display bpp
Yes, this works for me as well. I tested against 3.14-rc2 as well as the latest 3.10 stable series (3.10.30). I tested on the both the quadro 400 (gt216gl), and the quadro 600 (gf108gl), and displayport works as expected. Also tested on quadro k600 (gk107), which was working without this patch, just the make sure it was unaffected.
Thanks for the quick turnaround with this patch. Hopefully

CentOS 7, new video card in server
Hi, folks,
I've got a new Dell R730 server. My users have two Tesla K-80's in it.
Then, they wanted to add video, for complicated reasons.
Anyway, there's the onboard VGA; I just put in a Quadro K600 (they
require DP, and this card offers that). Plug in a VGA monirot (the card
even comes with two adaptors, one from large DP to DVI-D, and one DVI-D to
VGA. (And according to the

Xen VGA Passthrough - GTX 480 successfully quadrified to quadro 6000 (softmod) - more than 4GB of RAM for Win XP 64 Bits
Hi Gordan,
I received my Asus GTX 480 today (bought on ebay).
Finally I succeeded in
- quadrifying my GTX 480 into a Quadro 6000 ( softmod).
- overpassing the 3-4GB of RAM on Windows XP 64 bits (domU) by applying a well known patch for Xen.
- playing Crysis 2 and Darksiders II for a few minutes.

teeny mongrel_cluster hack
I was playing around with merb over the weekend and whipped up a simple form
that takes your mongrel_cluster.yml file and outputs monit files for you.
Not exactly earth shattering info, but if you have a couple of pups it might
save you some braindead typing. It''s using the new mongrel_cluster syntax,
of --only and clean for each port in your system. Hope it saves someone
some time.

Xen VGA Passthrough - GTX 680 successfully hard-moded to GRID K2
Hi Gordan,
I wanted to let you know that today I decided to have a try for my GTX 680. Gigabite GTX 680 2048 MB GDDR5.
I know that this particular card could be hard-moded to GRID K2 so VGA passthrough could work.
Following instructions found on http://www.eevblog.com/forum/chat/hacking-nvidia-cards-into-their-professional-counterparts/420/ I just removed two resistors.
Here is a screenshot

OT (kinda): Justification for adding Asteriskto the business plan

Just to clarify, we make up the IT company and we'd be selling it to our
customers that may or may not be IT based. The company does run VoIP but
does not use Asterisk (using VoIP to add additional local lines in different
area codes).
What I'm trying to accomplish is a

How many asterisk process's are "normal"?
Hello all,
I have two test beds running the exact same version of asterisk 1.2.7.1,
latest of zaptel, libpri, etc..
Test bed #1 (Solaris 9,sparc ultra 5):
This one is closer to a "production" machine, in that it is connected to a
sip provider thru an iax2 connection and have an incoming DID configured. I
can send and receive calls.
Test bed #2 (Slackware Linux 10.2, AMD XP chip):

A script to convert existing video files to Ogg

Hello,
I noticed that it's quite difficult currently to create Ogg format files
(Ogg Theora for video and Ogg Vorbis for audio). There's only the
encoder_example-program, which is included in the libtheora source
packages, but seemingly not in any libtheora/libtheora-devel packages
that are around the web for e.g.
