Available PCIe lanes for VGA passthrough
Hello, I hope that I am posting the correct list with this question. I have been trying to get VGA passthrough working on my system for some time now without success. I do not have the system with me right now, so I will not be able to provide any logs or error messages right now. I will be able to to do so in a couple of hours. I have a VT-d enabled system (Motherboard and CPU) on which I wish

Need some clarifications regarding VT-d requirements for PCI passthrough in Xen 4.1
Hello, I am looking into building a workstation using Xen to host several operating systems. Looking at the pci passthrough requirements of Xen4.1 on the VTdHowTo<http://wiki.xensource.com/xenwiki/VTdHowTo>page, I am a little puzzled with the fact that only Intel Core2Duo (with VT-x), Core2Quad, i7 and Core i5 (vPro Brand) CPU''s are supported while motherboards with the i55x0

LSI SAS 2008 controller in a pv domu
Hello, I am trying to pass my LSI SAS 2008 controller to my PV domu (openindiana) and I can not get it working. I have read that xen does not support the loading of option ROM''s in pv domu''s and that this support is being, or will be, added. http://markmail.org/thread/2njw43iaurmvzlys This post is more than a year old now. I am wondering if there is a way to get my LSI SAS

Driver for Socomec ITyS UPS (2000VA)
Hello, I have tried to use the blazer_ser driver to interface with my UPS. nut is not able to detect the UPS. I have not been able to find much info regarding Socomec UPS support in nut. Socomec does publish a description of the serial protocol for these UPS's, which can be found here: http://www.socomec.com/download-jbus-modbus.html(select UPS OTHER for device model, 1-5KVA for device power

Mongrel Web Server 0.3.12 -- Finally Out
Hello Folks, This is the long awaited (like 2 weeks) 0.3.12 release of Mongrel. This release has received heavier testing than previous releases and supports a whole raft of improvements to existing functionality plus some new stuff. For those not clued in, Mongrel is a web server written in (mostly) Ruby. Check the funny dogs and read the docs about it at http://mongrel.rubyforge.org/. The

Firefox crash while ajax''ing Google Maps
Hi all, I''m trying to make a simple mapping application that shows to a given point (city, zip etc.) the appropriate map from Google. This is done by updating a div tag via link_to_remote with the Google map code (lot of JavaScript code; see example http://www.google.com/apis/maps/documentation/) Clicking on the ajax''ed link let crash Firefox immediately whereas IE seems

-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hi, Former user of Xen and newbie in kvm/qemu/libvirt stuff, I give it a try on my network ;-) I need to run a VM with iSCSI target attached. I did it this way : 1) Creation of iscsi pool (equa.xml) : <pool type="iscsi"> <name>equalog</name> <source> <host name="10.10.0.1"/> <device

Alive now available online
Not sure how off-topic this is, but should we consider/have we considered porting our InstCombines to Alive? The PLDI '15 paper even demos C++ extraction from Alive theorems. I think it'd be a small step from that to extracting tightly optimized VM code, not unlike what Tablegen emits. Everything would be so clean and readable and organized. And edge cases can still be handled manually,

Where did Alive go?
Sorry, we really screwed up the server migration. Alive is now working again and should be fixed for good :) Permalinks are still missing; we are working on recovering those. Apologies again for all the trouble. Nuno -----Original Message----- From: Sanjay Patel Sent: Monday, October 2, 2017 5:10 PM Subject: Re: [llvm-dev] Where did Alive go? Alive now available online
Hi Sanjay, You used Alive correctly, of course :) At this moment we cannot give you the best precondition. It’s on the todo list, but it’s not even started yet. It’s a much harder problem to solve. We do have a mode to compute the best set of nsw/nuw/exact attributes in the transformed expression, but it’s not enabled on the web interface yet (InstCombine was missing quite a few cases last

Where did Alive go?
Alive is now working again. There was a migration to a new server. Permalinks are still being copied from backup; they will work again shortly as well. (I would probably not create new ones since they may get replaced while the copy is in flux). [GSoC 2016] Capture Tracking Improvements - BackgroundInformation
Hey Scott, There has been quite a lot of research on capture tracking (aka escape analysis) for Java and other dynamic languages. See e.g.: https://wiki.openjdk.java.net/display/HotSpot/EscapeAnalysis http://docs.oracle.com/javase/7/docs/technotes/guides/vm/performance-enhancements-7.html http://dl.acm.org/citation.cfm?doid=320384.320386 Nuno -----Original Message----- From: Scott Egerton via

Craig I know it's a pain compared to the web interface but Alive is pretty easy to install and run from a shell. I have boosted my productivity !
Just a positive experience I would like to share with you : testing is great on paper but very tedious to apply because nobody wants to run manually the tests by hand. Last week I have discovered zentest, an automated test process command line utility. That was at the beginning (hopefully) of a new project. Believe it or not, I have started to code most parts of the application without using
