PV Clone
I''ve followed the howto at virtuatopia.com<http://www.virtuatopia.com/index.php/Building_a_Xen_Virtual_Guest_Filesystem_on_a_Disk_Image_%28Cloning_Host_System%29>to clone existing machines, then create them as PV guests. It has worked a couple of times for me, but I''ve run into a problem I don''t understand. When I run "xm create name", I get an error that

Possible bug in Xen 4.2.1 when rebooting domU after save/restore
Hello, After saving and restoring a DomU (teste on the same server), doing a reboot to the newly restored domU will cause it to crash. This happens on PV and PVHVM domUs. I am using qemu upstream for the HVM guests, but I don''t really think it matters as long as PV guests behave the same. I want to confirm this if possible, before submitting a bug report and more details. I am using

Mellanox SR-IOV IB PCI passthrough in Xen - MSI-X pciback issue
Greetings Xen user community, I am interested in using Mellanox ConnectX cards with SR-IOV capabilities to passthrough pci-e Virtual Functions (VFs) to Xen guests. The hope is to allow for the use of InfiniBand directly within virtual machines and thereby enable a plethora of high performance computing applications that already leverage InfiniBand interconnects. However, I have run into some

pci passthrough under xen-3.3 without VT-d
Hi all! I''m hoping someone here might be able to help. I''m familiar with several UNIX''es, though farily new to Linux... I''m running RHEL 5.2. I''ve got the RHEL kernel headers installed, etc, and compiled xen-3.3. Once that was built, I rebuilt libvirt, etc, the kernel, and all the modules. The whole mess boots and runs fine... mostly. anaconda, kickstart, lvm over raid, logvol --grow, centos7 mystery
I am testing some kickstarts on ESXi virtual machine with pair of 16GB disks. Partitioning is lvm over raid. If i am using "logvol --grow i get "ValueError: not enough free space in volume group" Only workaround i can find is to add --maxsize=XXX where XXX is at least 640MB less than available. (10 extents or 320Mb per created logical volume) Following snippet is failing with
